it’s a little jarring when people describe spock as only graceful and dismiss or forget to see that he’s pretty clumsy when his clumsiness is honestly one of his most endearing traits. not to say he isn’t graceful, he is one of the most graceful male characters in tos really and i think him having to be somewhat delicate around humans because of his strength adds to that, but for mannerisms if you watch for one second he’s always doing a little stumble of sorts and just the way he generally moves.. he’s accurate most of the time but just really really clumsy. don’t ever let his gracefulness fool you, that man WILL run oddly and have somewhat bad hand to eye coordination

why does star trek strange new worlds make the assumption that vulcans are all rude and self-superior. there are some vulcans with self-superiority but generally even they arent that outwardly rude just subtly catty. but most vulcans in trek are generally just normal???? I feel like vulcans acting the way they do in strange new worlds is like kirk drift but for vulcan behaviour. stop the flanderisation of vulcans im begging yall

i get so emotional every time i think about fanfic culture. it's just so beautiful that people are writing and anonymously posting these thousand-word stories about characters we all love and not even getting any money or public fame from it. it's literally just for the love of the game.

shout out to everyone who participates in fanfic culture, be it reading or writing fanfics. you are contributing to such a lovely thing <3

tomorrow is yesterday is such a great episode: "a black star," jim's 1960s crush captain christopher, "a woman? a crewman," top tier bones being a bitch about spock making a mistake (and acknowledging that he knows that spock makes jokes), the sultry computer and jim being soooooo annoyed and fighting with her, spock being a bitch about doing time warp math in his head, jim and sulu looking at the bulletin board full of papers like it's a museum exhibit, some of the greatest jim flinging himself around fighting ever seen, jim's little wince when the other police guy throws the communicator like it's an expensive vase that got knocked off a table, "this little thing? something i slipped on," spock being both concerned boyfriend and little bitch about human use of violence when he says "don't you find that painful, captain," and of course the fact that it's all a love letter to the test pilots who became the space program even before we went to the moon.

Tbh it's offputting to me in fanfiction when Kirk is mega pushy to Spock with the whole expressing emotions thing when in canon Spock is forced to express emotions and Kirk is foaming at the mouth pleading for them to stop bc they're hurting him
