Michael Afton as a character is so weird because like. His full name has never been so much as mentioned in canon. "Michael Afton" is not technically a character that has ever been established to exist. We hear his voice once ever. There has never been official art of him. There is exactly one piece of merch of him and it's from before he was even really established as a character. Theories about him vary so vastly that depending on who you ask he can be a completely different character from person to person. The creator doesn't want us to ever be fully sure that he even actually exists. AND HE'S THE PROTAGONIST.
