old milgram art from twitter! completely obsessed w these guys so far
Milgram Font & Deciphered Info
Me and my fellow friend have deciphered the milgram font! I'm sure people have before us but I'll still share it with some of the words deciphered too.
First things first, here's the key. Thank you again to my friend who drew them out and ordered them
Due to it being inspired by the Latin alphabet, I and J share the same character, likewise with C and K, and U, V, W
Something important to note is that when 2 characters are merged, it means there is a space between those two characters. This makes it so we can make out where words end and start.
Now here are the deciphered sentences we've found:
Centre: "marglim" Banners: "los sitarelecs te rutiro"
Looks like gibberish. If you reverse the words however, you get:
Centre: "milgram" Banners: "oritur et sceleratis sol" (translated from Latin: "The sun shines even on the wicked")
•
This sentence is behind each character in the character trailer. We've chose Muu to make it easier to read
"every aint has a past anl every sinner has a future"
It's clear that they've purposefully mispelt (I.e "aint" should be "saint", "anl" should be "and"
Fixed: "Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future"
•
On the tags on the prisoner's suits, you can read their names. This was what we used to decipher half of the characters (only a few character names could we make out)
•
This brings us to Es who doesn't have their name written out. Instead we believe for it to read "reciffO nosirP" (Prison officer backwards) on their strap going from their shoulders to waist. And also "tse mudnatibud subinmo eD" ("De omnibus dubitandum est" backwards - translated from Latin: "Everything must be doubted") for the strip on their cloak
•
It's worth mentioning that when we attempted to decipher sentences on the website, we found that many of them contain errors and info/sentences already stated (e.g. the physical details of the characters behind them; "Think the sin, think the sinner" kept showing up, sometimes with mistakes)
•
While this hasn't appeared in the characters' song (except Es's), I think it may appear again in the 2nd or 3rd season. Even so, this font and the sentences will make it easier to understand Milgram's prison
•
Personal thoughts: I think it's obvious that Milgram isn't a place on Earth. It's not a real prison first of all, and the use of a Latin based scripture (Latin is a dead language) strengthens the point. I believe that it may be purgatory, where they are judged on going to heaven or hell from their sins
•
If you have any questions, please ask. Any corrections and inputs about it are appreciated.
Thank you once again to my friend for deciphering most of it, and thank you also to our other friend who helped us with correcting the Latin
