The prophet ﷺ said,

Yazid Ibn 'Abdullah said: We used to discuss that the dweller of Hellfire is one whose fear of Allah did not deter him from sinning’
O my soul! Far, far it is that you will enter Jannah. Does any description of the people of Jannah truly fit you! if not for Allah’s mercy, your destination is ruin!
I ask Allah to cvrse in dunyah and Akhirah all those who slander our sisters in captivity and/or speak Ill about their honour, I ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to cvrse them equivalent to the number of sisters they slandered in the camps and prisons, and equivalent to the number of people who heard and read their slanders, May Allah never lift his cvrse until they openly and publicly repent in the clearest of terms….
Before making dua for their (pious sisters) release make dua of cvrse on those who slander them, why wouldn’t we cvrse someone whom Allah cvrsed? Why? Why? I say exactly what Ibn Masud said when he cursed women who get tattoos and pluck their eyebrows, a woman argued with him about that, ibn Masud رضي الله عنه said “why shouldn’t I cvrse whom Allah cursed, and those whom the messenger of Allah cursed”
Why wouldn’t we cvrse those whom Allah سبحانه و تعالى cvrsed?!
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْغَافِلَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ لُعِنُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Surely those who accuse chaste, unsuspecting, believing women are cursed in this life and the Hereafter. And they will suffer a tremendous punishment

One of the things that have kept me and many others from reaching our goals was simply not being selfish enough. I always thought I was here to be of service for the muslimeen, and despite this statement not being wrong in its essence, (may Allah use us to serve Islam and muslims and not replace us!) many of us have ghuluw in it, to the point where our lives are all for the people, and nothing for us, to the point where we carry the burdens of others while our issues find no one to address them.
If you have a goal you want to achieve (be it acquiring beneficial knowledge or memorising the Qur’an etc) be selfish for a little while. Do not forget your obligatory duties towards the muwahhidīn, but without exaggeration, and giving every single person according to what they truly need.
We will all be buried alone so do not be a bridge upon which people walk to Jannah, just for you to eventually collapse and fall in the hellfire due to your neglect..
When you read the Quran and come across “O you who have believed”, do you think that those who have believed are living on Mars? No, Allah is addressing you! You are among those who believe. And when you come across “O mankind”, do you think mankind is living on Saturn? Pay attention—you are part of mankind.
When commands and prohibitions appear in the Quran, they are not just directed at Abu Bakr and Umar رضي الله عنهم. They are directed at you. These commands and prohibitions are meant specifically for you. The Quran does not only address the Muslim community as a whole—it addresses each and every individual Muslim personally. Every single person is being addressed directly by the Quran.
So when you read these verses, understand that they are messages from Allah to you. Read them as if a servant is reading the commands of his master with purpose and intent. Imagine a slave whose master sends him written instructions—commands and prohibitions in a letter. The worker receives this letter, kisses it, places it on his head, perfumes it and puts it on a shelf. But that’s all he does. He doesn’t follow the instructions.
Now, if the master later asks him, “What did you do with my message?”, and the worker replies, “I received it, kissed it, perfumed it, placed it on the shelf, and every day I take it down, kiss it again, read it, and put it back.”—what will the master do? He will hit him! He will say, “Did I send this letter just for you to honor it, open and close it, and place it on a shelf? Or did I send it for you to act upon it?”
Likewise, the Quran is not just meant to be recited and admired—it is meant to be followed. That is why the Prophet ﷺ said, “The Quran is either a proof for you or against you.”
So if you read “O you who have believed”, but then act like those who disbelieve, how will you answer Allah when you meet Him? Allah will surely question you about what you recited.

There’s no deity worthy of worship but Allah*
“Allah” comes from the stem word “ilaah” + Alif laam
ال+اله=الله
Roughly translating to “the ilaah” (the worshipped)
In Arabic:
أله، يأله، الها
He worshipped, worships, a worshipped enity
Claiming Allah is One without claiming that He is worthy of worship will not save one from His wrath.
The word ya’lahu (to worship) itself carries many meanings, from them being “turning to” “showing reverence to” “trusting” “relying on” etc, and those are all forms of worship to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala! سبحان الله.
Many of today’s mushrikin believe Allah is One, and that there is none with exactly similar power to Him; yet they still sought others in worship (du’a for example) therefore becoming mushrikin and making Jahannam their eternal abode.
Tawhīd is three parts, two of them lead to the Tawhīd of “worship” or Tawhīd al Uluhiyyah, for the fact that Allah is the Rabb (from tawhīd al rubūbiyyah) and the fact that we acknowledge His names and attributes (asma’ and sifaat) makes Him worthy to he worshipped!
For the Rabb (the sustainer the creator the owner etc etc) and the owner of those great names and attributes with which He showers us in blessings and rules upon us with qist (justice) and Rahma, such entity surely deserves to be worshipped, and this is known by fitra! Therefore, if you acknowledge Tawhid al ruboobiyyah and Tawhid al Asmaa wa al Sifaat you will automatically find yourself leaning towards Allah in worship (towards tawhīd al Uluhiyyah)
And the other way around too, when you say “there’s no deity worthy of worship besides Allah” (tawhīd al Uluhiyyah) you are just with these counted words saying that you also believe in His rubūbiyyah and His asmaa and sifaat (so you’re a believer unless you commit a nullifier) for you would not worship Him unless He were the creator and the sustainer and the most merciful and compassionate etc etc, in easier terms, you would not worship Him if you did not believe in His rubūbiyyah and Asmaa and Sifaat (obviously unless you have a shubha or flawed ta’wil but this isn’t our point here)
What a beautiful word La Ilaha Illa Allah is, the separation between islam and Shirk, and How merciful is Allah that He summarised His entire religion in a sentence of 5 words!
Prayer time is your break from this world. Athan is your notice to rest, go and be with your Lord for a little while.
Imam Ibn Uyaynah said:
“What the servant dislikes is better for him than what he loves, because what he dislikes stirs him to supplication, while what he loves distracts him from it.”
الفرج بعد الشدة لابن أبي الدنيا ( 21 )
O Allah, keep away from me and my household those who do not fear You, and keep me and my household away from the evil of every creature whose forelock You hold. Ameen
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
وقال بعض الأطباء العشق امتزاج الروح بالورح لما بينهما من التناسب والتشاكل فإذا امتزج الماء بالماء امتنع تخليص بعضه من بعض ولذلك تبلغ المحبة بين الشخصين حتى يتألم أحدهما بتألم الآخر ويسقم بسقمه وهو لا يشعر
Some physicians / doctors have said that love is the merging of souls because of the harmony / compatibility and similarity between them. Just as water mixes with water, it becomes impossible to separate them from each other. Likewise, love between two people can reach such a level that one feels pain when the other is in pain, and becomes ill with their illness, even without realizing it (even though they're not connected).
كتاب روضة المحبين ونزهة المشتاقين لابن القيم
They stayed true to their pledge until their final breath, and those who had not yet been granted the key to Jannah never broke their promise but upheld it until they met the fragrance of musk.
“Our Mahdi will have a broad forehead and a pointed (prominent) nose. He will fill the earth with justice as it is filled with injustice and tyranny. He will rule for seven years.“”

Why should the believers ever feel shaken when they are certain that they will have either one of the best two alternatives: victory or martyrdom? their enemy, on the other hand, aims at nothing further than the life of this world. This explains why the disbelievers are so keen to achieve material superiority in this life which is the ultimate they hope for, since they have no hope in the life to come.
