Doe eyes softened at the sight, zell was experiencing internal turmoil.  Knowing him he was probably either blaming himself or perhaps thinking that he was horrible friend when in fact he was one of the best. It’s just it’s not the right time for rinoa to forgive her father yet, it was due to her stubborness and pride that cause not only her and father trouble and pain but also the people around them. Kneeling down beside the blond, she wrapped her arms around him , a form of a sibling hug. It was rinoa’s way of assurance towards the brawler that he meant no harm to her and she was just taken due to the spur of the moment. That he was just concerned of her well being and she was grateful to have him and of course the others as well. They serve as her new family that made her feel at home despite her being not a SeeD or a sorceress.

“Zell.” she started with a smile. “I will forget it okey? Stop being sad, you didn’t do anything wrong, and you were just concerned… How about this.. when times come .. I would ask for your help to fix it? How’s that?”

      He wasn’t use to the type of hug Rinoa gave him, but it didn’t mean Zell wasn’t going to accept it. Leaning lightly into his Zell he couldn’t help but smile a lightly. Face now feeling hot for his slight embarrassment for the way he behaved. But Rinoa seemed okay with it, which mean he should as well.

      “I’m sorry I got carried away.” That he could at least admit out loud. Zell knew how hard it is for him to let go particular ideas, especially when it came to his family and friends. “If you want me to help you, I’d be more than honored too. –When you’re ready for it.” That got him to give a genuine smile.

Giving him a gentle squeeze before pulling away , Rinoa smiled at the blond and patted his shoulder as a way to inform that he should cheer up already. “that’s better!” Clapping her hands together , the sorceress moved away and noded all the serious and unpleasant mode died down. The sorceress was being careful not to let the stress get into here and to her friends so she tried to erase any previous ecounter. “yes i would love everyone to be in there to help me, cause i know i might punch him first before we reconcile and then there’s squall’s father and son relationship too.”

Rinoa being specialized with range combat only, struggled at hand to hand training. Tifa was indeed a good teacher however she struggled a lot and this was almost the 5th time she failed to dodge her upcoming attack. Back and knees strained from falling and being pushed, rinoa slowly stood up with her guidance. “can we just.. practice magic instead? I’m not as good as you when it comes to this kind of combat.”

{ 18th August } Day 2: favourite scene / leadership / difficulties of being a commander

Papers after papers, as if there’s no end of it, it’s like he had been stuck in this forever limbo, funny thing is there’s no fire and heat that would swallow him but only papers, tons of tons of papers that needed to be signed.  A sigh escaped on his mouth, as his eyebrows furrowed in a millionth time that day. If there’s one con that squall hated for being a Commander of Garden Is that he had to sign papers everyday and the more he stayed at his office signing this the more his mind lose his sanity. Stupid ideas started to flood his mind, it went from sending quistis at his office to have a fair share of this hell to going to training center and feed the T-rexaurs with papers instead of killing them as a new stress reliever? ’This is stupid, but why can I stop?’ He thought as he sighed once again and just let himself burried on the papers and focus himself again with papers. Squall would have just screamed internally any moment now, if the door hadn’t opened and a small creak from the wooden door made him perk up his head. His excitement raised instantly and he never thought in his life that he would be this happy for being disrupted but of course he didn’t showed it in face.  As soon he had seen rinoa enter, walking with grace and a smile on her face, squall’s distress instantly disappeared.  ”Hey” Rinoa’s voice came out like chimes of bells. ”Hey to you too..”  Squall mumbled before tilting his head to the side. “Is there something wrong?”

That question made rinoa frown all of sudden, and it made squall nervous and the excitement died down. ”yeah about that..” She paused for a while before continuing. “You didn’t eat lunch again, paper works giving you a lot of trouble? You should eat you know, those can wait… So I came here to ask if we could lunch out together!” She was right, squall was on the verge of accepting that offer but the responsible side on his mind was telling him to say no. “I can’t, I needed to--” ”Hush it! Let the other’s do the stuffs, and I wont accept no for answers, Mr. Leonhart. So come on and we would eat!”Rinoa didn’t let him finish any further as she marched on her way to his side and pull him up from his chair, dragging him out of his office. And somewhat squall was thankful for her for doing that, he just stared at his table filled with stucked paper as it become smaller and smaller while rinoa dragged her further towards the elevator. Giving a final adios to his limbo, squall smirked as he realized that the difficulties of being commander was not those paper works, but was how he would deal with rinoa dragging him along without his permission.

Her words were true and Squall felt their weight hanging on his shoulders. He couldn’t just up and leave like that, but still it was tempting. He always did things by the book in the past, but ever since the war with the Sorceress, he had to learn how to improvise. Maybe, just maybe, he could find a way…

“What are you talking about? Rinoa, you have the brightest future out of all of us. Yours’ is completely free. You could go do anything you wanted to and there is not a soul in the universe with the power to stop you,” Squall told her. 

“And me leaving the garden…. I’m not sure. I’m still young and I have yet to do anything impulsive and crazy other than take down a power crazy sorceress, but….”

Suddenly, a mischievous smile appeared on Squall’s face. “But who is to say I can’t start now? I have an idea if you are willing.”

Was it true? That she was the one who had brightest future of all of them? For all rinoa know ,she was just nothing but a hindrance and trouble . A trophy his father flaunts to the world, that she was one of the saviour of the humanity other than that she is nothing. It made rinoa unsure for a second but as soon she had heard his plans and despite it being not what he really meant , the young rebel fighter smirked back at him. She was liking the idea that squall was starting to show his rebellious stage and it made rinoa want to follow along with those ridiculous ideas of his. “Well you already sneaked us out late at night, I don’t mind going along with that plan of yours besides i have done it already a lot in my life.”   Grinning, she leaned at him and held his hand, pulling it slightly due to excitement. “where do we plan on running away, then?”
