Griffon couldn’t hide his smile when he heard the waiter mention his identity for the night to a pretty blonde. Though the kept an eye on the man, he knew he needed to wait until Candy Cann was off on his own to grab his flag. After what seemed like days and grabbing another guy’s flag, he finally noticed the young man enter he restroom. Despite being aware of how completely creepy it was to follow someone into the bathroom, Griffon still found himself pushing the door open to find his target washing his hands.

“Unfortunately, you’re dead now,” he said reaching for the flag and pulling it free.

“Finally,” the man muttered, “I’ve been waiting ages for someone to take this stupid thing off me.”

Griffon laughed before responded. “Happy to be of service.”

Trigger Warning: Hinted Abuse

Griffon Olson, the golden child of his small hometown. An only child born to two well-off doctors, Griffon was the picture of perfection. He had a sunny smile along with a charming personality that made him a hit almost anywhere. Though he didn’t receive much attention from his constantly working parents, he had a series of nannies who treasured him. They gave into his every whim as a child, making sure he was constantly loved and adored. Each one made a lasting impact on the boy; he knew that he had to be loved by someone, even if it wasn’t his own family. Griffon knew that love didn’t always last on both ends as evidenced by his parents divorce when he was nine. Though his father clearly still loved his mother, she left without so much as a glance back for a prestigious job in New York. Instead of scorning love and it’s heartaches like his father, Griffon became obsessed with the idea of love and somehow holding on to that feeling forever. He needed to find a way to hold on to it no matter what the cost.

His father moved after that to Chicago, and again, Griffon was the star of the school. Though he wasn’t the best in academics, he loved sports and played for as many of them during the year as he could get away with. That, coupled with his outgoing personality, made him quite popular in school. And even more popular with girls his age. Though plenty of them showed interest in him, they weren’t what he was looking for. He saw his future with each of them, and with each of them, it would be a fleeting romance. But Griffon wanted something permanent; he wanted a love to last a lifetime. With all that attention, you’d think something like that would go to a kid’s head. And it did. In high school, his popularity grew as much as he did, his ego soon following behind. Though Griffon was known for his looks and charm, he soon became known for something else: his tendency to take advantage of others either through manipulation or through force. The only one immune to his bullying, or so everyone thought, was a young girl named Elodie Blake. From the time he first saw her, Griffon knew she was the one. It didn’t take long for him to let everyone else know this, including her. Griffon had finally found someone who was all his, someone who would love him and only him for all their days. And there was no way he was ever letting her go.

They went through high school together, even staying together through their college years together as well. While Elodie began working on that silly ghost hunting show as a psychic, Griffon pursued a career in law enforcement. It didn’t take him long to get through the academy, passing all of his exams and training with flying colors. It wasn’t the career either of his parents had wanted for him, but Griffon hadn’t wanted to continue his schooling. Not to the extent they wanted. He wanted something different in life, something he was good a that would give him the room to be more authoritative and in control, but didn’t require all of the work that other jobs might. Of course, he didn’t realize how difficult it would be to be a police officer. How little the rewards or pay would be from it. It didn’t take long for his partner to bring him in on his own little side job, making sure some of the bad guys didn’t get put away. It was easy to fake arrests and hide things from the books. And easy to hide all of this from his loving girlfriend too.

Though Griffon’s life seemed perfect on the outside, things were a lot worse than they appeared. He began to become jealous over Elodie’s success, over the fans who adored her. Griffon began to believe that she cared more about that show and everything involved in her little hobby more than him. That simply wouldn’t do. Over the coming months, he slowly began to pressure her into leaving so she could spend more time with him. And as always, Griffon got what he wanted, but it still wasn’t enough. His moods became more and more erratic; he was more full of harsh words and violence than he’d even though himself capable of. But that didn’t matter because things needed to be perfect, and if he had to take it out on Elodie, he would. Eventually, he reasoned, things would be perfect. He’d make sure of it. This cruise is just a small detour to him. He encouraged Elodie not to attend, to not get involved with that world once more, but she couldn’t be deterred. So obviously that meant he needed to go with her. And this is the perfect opportunity for him to make things right and take back the control that he so desperately needs.

Griffon was able to get special permission to carry his gun aboard the ship, though the ammo for it has to be locked away in the security office.

Griffon is normally openly hostile towards most members of the show that Elodie was on besides Dominic.

Although Griffon considers himself to be a ‘guy’s guy,’ and incredibly manly, he can’t help but to love some of the old musicals like Grease. He can be found humming some of the songs occasionally.

Griffon actually hates boats. He only came on the cruise to keep an eye on Elodie. He’s determined to make this cruise good for her nevertheless. Whatever she wants while they’re on this little vacation, she gets.

Griffon raised his eyebrows at the introduction, but sat down next to the man anyways. “The name’s Agent Avery, FBI,” he replied, flashing what he hoped was a charming smile. “You make a lovely Amanda,” he added a moment later, trying to conceal the fact that he was almost laughing at the charade. His hand slipped down to rest on the man’s leg for a moment making it seem like he was going to hit on him, but instead pulled the small flag off the belt. “Guess you can go back to being who you normally are.”

Her eyes flickered away from the table over to the man who sat down. “You’re welcome to it.” She wondered if it sounded like a joke, as if anyone didn’t want to be here. “I’ve been told it’s quite unoriginal. But, when things are randomized, there’s not much you can do.”

“Nah, I think it suits you,” he responded. “Might be unoriginal, but so much power behind it. It’s one of the best. I mean, I’m just a lowly FBI agent.” He shrugged as though that was something boring.

“Oh, that’s great! We could team up! We can be like the government, watching everyone– I’m sure we could catch some bad guys.” Audrey doubted that the police would refer to murderers as bad guys, but it was all for fun.

“I think that’s a great idea. Consider me your new partner, Officer. We’ll catch all the bad guys and win the game or something.” He just had to make sure he didn’t along the way.

Elisabeth sat at an empty table, staring at the flowers that adorned the center of the table. A person approached, someone else who needed her name and information. “Hi, I’m…” No, she pulled at the name tag on her skirt so that she could read it properly, “Clark Kent.”

Griffon wasn’t entirely sure where his girlfriend had wandered off to in the crowd, but he assumed she’d stay close. In the meantime, he might as well enjoy the game. He’d spoken to a few people, but nothing important had come up. And with everyone staying in packs, it was easier to attempt to find someone on their own. He pulled out the chair next to the girl and gave her a smile. “Clark Kent? I think you got the best alias here,” he admitted. “I’m a bit jealous.”

“Oh, is it?” Griffon asked. “Please to meet you, Officer Welsh. Agent Avery of the FBI.” It was such a ridiculous story, but one that was almost too real for him. “Can’t say I’ve seen any murders lately, but I’ll be around to help solve them.”
