It's been fun, my friends.

Hello, all. I just wanted to let you know so it wasn't as if I disappeared into oblivion, but I'm going to regretfully take my leave from Mob Scene. I've enjoyed the time here, but the longer I've stayed the more I've found that it just doesn't fit what I look for in a roleplay and the difficulty I've had in really feeling at home here has been a stumbling block. Had I more time to devote to it, I'm sure I could have made it work but, as it currently stands, I don't have the time or motivation to really put the effort in that's necessary. 

Sorry for any rifts this may put in the plots that I do have or things of that nature, but I'm sure y'all will make it work. For those that don't already have it, I'm not actually disappearing and still roleplay and you can get in touch with me through skype, kik, and aim.

Élise saw that Grigory was enjoying this — if anything, that smile of his that twitched around the corners of his mouth gave it away. Not even bothering to hold back, the blonde rolled her eyes at the man. She could understand; if their roles were reversed, she’d enjoy every second of this. Yes, Élise St. Clair had been wrong. It happened. She was human. Get over it. “From me. Don’t push it.” She pushed up to her feet with a snort. 

"Though I wouldn’t know what for. For thinking you were a disgusting piece of scum, maybe?" That was Élise’s idea of an apology. She shrugged, looking around the pavement one final time before giving up her search with a defeated sigh. "Well. The bracelet is lost. I should get going."

Grigory spread his arms a bit, though his smile didn't fade, as she told him not to push it. He could leave it... mostly. It was hard for Grigory to leave anything, these days. The desire to poke and prod and aggravate others came naturally after being told he couldn't do it to the one that he wanted. With her apology out of the way, as touching as it was, she was standing to leave and he was twisting the bracelet around in his hand.

Before she stepped away, he held up his hand, the bracelet held between two fingers and out towards her. "Nearly got stepped on. Saved it from certain death." He shrugged. "But don't worry. You already apologized during this conversation. I'm sure expressing gratitude might just kill you."

Tilting his head again, Grigory smiled. "You know, I still have a gift for you. But given our last conversation I was sure it was going to never get delivered."

"I still kind of want you hopping on one foot, rubbing your stomach and patting your head, but I’ll save that for another time," she said, nodding at him.

"What a gracious woman, Ayelet." Crossing his arms, he looked back towards her and tilted his head. A slight smile touched his lips and his eyebrows raised. "Any new word from the husband about when he plans on showing up? Or is he going to keep slacking and not get out here? He could join all the fun."

It took Élise entirely way too long to finally understand. To finally see past her own judgement and understand. She’d assumed as much, yes, but the way Natalya had been to Grigory, and he to her, had given off the impression as if the two of them were happy together. It didn’t occur to her that the man might’ve been married to her for reasons other than love, though it should have. After all, wasn’t she trying to get closer to Archibald? The blonde was doing the same thing. It didn’t happen often that Élise was wrong, but this time, she admitted to defeat. It came easier with the fondness she’d felt for the man making her bias.

"Oh." Her eyes were fixed to Grigory’s, brows raised, though she quickly averted her gaze. "Well, that explains a lot." For a few more moments she looked around the pavement before entirely giving up, sitting back on her heels with a sigh. The bracelet was lost — no point in looking for it any longer. "An apology is due then, isn’t it?"

There was something oddly... satisfying about this whole thing. Maybe it was just his sadistic and highly suppressed side that took pleasure in these situations, but little acknowledgement that Élise seemed to notice she was wrong, he had to actively stop himself from smiling. Tilting his head a bit, he shrugged and shook his head. He didn't care to explain more. Talking about it was pointless, anyway, and he wasn't going to tell her the truth of the matter. In this town, it could end up putting his plans in jeopardy. 

The corner of his mouth may hae twitched towards a smile when she looked away and his eyes narrowed. "Apology?" His brows rose and he smiled a little more openly now. "Am I supposed to apologize for something else I did or... wait, from you?"

"Worked like a charm.  Can you get it with a shot of espresso?"

"Absolutely." Grigory smiled, winking at her. "Anything else I can do for you?"

"Trust me, they won’t be able to walk for days." Maria laughed, before taking his hand and shaking it. "Maria."

"Sounds like a real party. You'll let me know how it goes?"

"Aw Grigory, but we are.  So…could you get me a coffee…I don’t know…please?"

"I would love to buy you a coffee, Ayelet."

"Ha ha. Yeah, it’s kind of a sticky situation. It seems I’m quite the popular bitch. Don’t worry, though. They’ll get what’s coming to them. I’ll fuck them right back, if you know that I mean."

"I hope you bought a big enough strap on." Grigory smiled, winking at the girl as he said it. "Now that I clearly know the kind of person you are, exactly the kind I like to surround myself with." He offered his hand, obviously unfazed by the topic of converesation. "Grigory."

"Break a nail?" There was a reason why she kept them short, her hands were rough not soft and subtle and she preferred them that way.  She couldn’t help but laugh, her stomach bellowed as though she had just heard the funniest joke in the world. Was this man being serious? “Oh Grigory, now that’s funny you believe that?” she couldn’t contain herself, “I can handle myself, I have done for years but you wouldn’t know that.” She calmed down after a while, she didn’t want to draw attention to them. “I believe we’re the same then, I’m still standing even if many believed they could break me.”

"You shouldn’t let appearances of people fool you.  I thought you already knew that?" Ya’el rolled her eye’s, if he knew what she had been doing for nearly 10 years he wouldn’t be asking such questions. "Ones that are more important than this conversation but less entertaining."

Ya'el, clearly, was easy to annoy. And that was amusing to Grigory for more than one reason. Perhaps it was just that he was a little restricted in other areas of his life awhere he couldn't express it. Maybe it was just because something had been severely messed up in his head through one of the many tragic things that had happened in his life. Maybe he just thought it was funny. Either way, he was smiling at the woman and shrugging. "I'm sure you're very good at it, Ya'el," He agreed with a bit of a mocking nod.

"Oh, I'm shallow like that, Ya'el. I base all my assumptions off of appearances." Grigory smiled as he said it, sarcastic but a smile nonetheless.

"Nicely?  But see, only my good friends know that I have no ‘nice’ setting.  I only come with ‘demanding’ and ‘angry’ modes."

"I though we were good friends, Ayelet. That hurts. But alright, how about you just say 'please' but you can do it sarcastically."

Élise had been looking everywhere she could see, peaking between the sea of ever-moving legs, but no sign of her bracelet. She touched her wrist again with a defeated sigh, shoulder slumping. Arnaud would understand, but she doubted she could ever forgive herself for losing the bracelet. It made her angry — at the man who’d so carelessly bumped into her without looking where he was going. So it was natural that said anger was projected on Grigory when he kept being a smartass. Élise looked at him, with that sweet, condescending smile of hers plastered firmly on her face. Funny. Wasn’t he just funny.

"A shame for you, it must be.” Élise shook her head again, eyes scanning the pavement once more. “Does she know you tell people she’s dead, then? ‘The woman I love is dead’ — I mean, that’s quite clear for everyone to understand, no?” Now she looked back at the man, raising an eyebrow in a questioning manner. “Or maybe you don’t even love her, if you can lie so easily about being married to her.”

He wasn't sure what it was that caught his eye, but the slender piece of metal got his attention and he was glancing to it for a moment. Easy enough to grab it and hand it over but, then, she'd be quick to hurry off. He was having too much fun with this conversation for her to leave now. While she searched the ground, Grigory picked it up. Curling his fingers around it to hold it in his palm a moment as he watched her. She looked back to him with that pleasant smile of hers and he gave her a more laid back one in reply.

"Mmm, exactly." He nodded, watching her search the ground for the item he now held in his hand. "The state of her life and the state of the woman I love are two very different things." Did he need to explain it to her? No. There was no reason he needed to explain anything, and especially not about Pazit. Not about Natalya. And certainly not about himself. At her final comment, he was clicking his tongue and smirking. "You assume that it was her I was talking about in the first place," He clarified with a shrug, "Might have been. Just as likely might not have."

Sounds rough. I can see why you're feeling a little violent now. I'd suggest going to the police about it but... you know, doesn't look like that'll be help. Good luck with an entire police force.

"Are you trying to be funny? because if you are you need to work on your jokes." She found it amusing how he presumed she couldn’t take care of herself. "Oh Grigory, you believe I wouldn’t be able to handle them myself? No I don’t need your help, if I can easily beat you what help will you be to me?”  She titled her head and raised the pitch of her voice to emphasise certain words. Maybe she was belittling him, but by this point in their conversation she didn’t care.

"I’ll just have to buy a new pair clearly." She rolled her eye’s being to feel this conversation was completely pointless. "I’d rather not, I have more pressing matters than to deal with such a thing."

"No, Ya'el, I am being funny, you just have a poorly developed sense of humor." He nodded with a smile and shrugged his shoulders. With as long as he'd been dealing with everything happening around him, he didn't have room to be uptight or irritated with all that much. At least, not visibly. "I'm sure you could handle yourself. Just thought you might not want to break a nail or something." His smile widened only slightly, head tilting a bit. Now it was time for him to find her comment funny, and he chuckled a bit as she said she could easily beat him. "You wouldn't be the first to try," He countered, "But I'm still standing." No one would make him fall.

Eyebrows raising, Grigory nodded a bit. "Oh, do you? What kind of matters? Interesting ones?"

"A surefire way to lose you?  Oh well in that case, you should probably pat your head and rub your stomach.  Maybe buy me a coffee too?"

"Now, Ayelet, it's starting to sound like you don't value this friendship of ours. That hurts me. Deeply. I will, however, buy you a coffee. If you ask nicely."
