Some soft Young Justice headcanons:

Dick makes an effort to learn his teammates’ first languages (if he doesn’t already know it), at least enough to be able to hold a conversation. In return, Kaldur and M’gann get Conner to teach them Romani.

Artemis, Zatanna, Raquel, and M’gann have monthly movie nights. M’gann was introduced to her favorite Earth movie, Heathers, on one of these movie nights and spent the next three months dressing like Heather McNamara.

Shortly after Jason joined the team, he and Kaldur bonded over books. The two of them wound up starting a book club that Kaldur kept active even after his death.

When Wally needs to clear his head, he works in Mount Justice’s laboratory. Batman frequently drops off samples to analyze or devices that need to be reverse engineered so Wally has something to do.

Dinah has been called “mom” so many times, nobody questions it (and to be honest, she finds it really sweet).

The first person to call her “mom” was Dick, who hadn’t realized what he said until Conner asked “if Canary is your mom, does that make Green Arrow your dad?”

“But I thought BATMAN was your dad!”

“Wait, wait, if you’re Green Arrow’s son, why aren’t YOU his sidekick? Uh, no offence, Artemis.”

For three months straight, the team had a brutal prank war that eventually ended when Superman got a face full of banana creme pie. Dick and Wally were forced to clean the hanger with toothbrushes. (In reality, it was Kaldur who pie’d Superman. To this day, nobody knows the truth.)

Artemis keeps a small portion of her record collection at Mount Justice. She considers them her favorite records, and if anything were to happen at home, she knows that they’d be safe at Mount Justice.

Raquel knits in her spare time, and that includes rides to and from missions. She still keeps knitting gear in the Bioship, along with an unfinished set of cozies for Kaldur’s water bearers she was going to give to him as a joke.

Conner’s workout playlist is made up of 80′s music because, according to Wally, you just can’t be angry while you’re listening to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” (and it’s true).

Zatanna has many talents, but singing isn’t one of them. She sounds like a dying cat, but nobody on the team wants to hurt her feelings, so they’ve all collectively agreed to not say a word about it on karaoke night.

M’gann keeps track of her friends’ favorite treats and makes them when she senses they’re having a bad day. It might not be a solution to their problem, but it does bring a smile to their faces.
