One of my friends who knows my fixation on Ultrakill jokingly mentioned that even if I did find Gabriel really attractive, there would be no way for me to do the deed with him, as angels in Ultrakill have no gender. I think it was to make fun of me or at least get me to stop talking about the game, but it just confused me, as that is not my focus when I rant about Gabriel.
But bro is right: Gabriel theoretically has nothing down there, but that has never been an issue with me. I've been in a irl relationship with a genderfluid person who identified as asexual for all six years I was dating them. We never did anything beyond making out and kissing, and it was relatively a healthy relationship.
(I don't regret that relationship at all, even if we separated.)
I bring this up because I think a lot of discourse in the Ultrakill fandom is about how some people overly sexualize Gabriel (and the other characters; it's not just him) due to the New Blood merch and promotions surrounding Gabriel outside the game. Many fans say that a lot of people who adore Gabriel rewrite his character entirely just to fit their desires, which in some cases is trueâ
But that's not what you'll find here with me personally.
I don't care about 'doing the deed,' even if I joke about it; I genuinely do just care about Gabriel as the character and the deep lore he brings to the table. I don't think anyone will care to actually read this, but I think not everyone falls into the category where they erase Gabriel's motives and goals, and are rather just having fun in the fandom.
People are allowed to experience and enjoy certain media differently, and we need to respect that even if it's not canon. If everyone interpreted the media correctly and never stepped outside the box for fun, we wouldn't have interesting aus, amazing fanart, or a diverse community.
Yes, fandoms suck sometimes, but so what? All fandoms suck eventually, roll with it and have fun where you can.
[So just as a recap: 1.) I'm not gonna post super crazy desires about Gabriel, and if I do, it'll still be respectful. And 2.) Be nice to each other's interpretations of the Ultrakill media, even if they're wildly wrong, or just ignore them.]
Full disclosure, I absolutely do want to jump the angel's bones. I draw him in pinups and sensual art all the time. But I see him as more than that.
Gabriel for me is an outlet to explore my own sexuality. He's ultimately genderless, like me, yet also masculine, like me. Also as someone who grew up surrounded by many facets of Christianity and experienced purity culture and sexual shaming I feel I can also relate to Gabriel in that sense. Albeit Ultrakill's interpretation of Christianity is very loose, but still.
I adore Gabriel and many of the different fandom versions of him, he's beautiful, and I can appreciate him without sexualising him. Honestly I should post more vanilla art ÂŻâ \â _â (â ăâ )â _â /â ÂŻ

Do you have any tips or sketches of Gabriel's full armor? I'm trying to get a sense of how to draw him but can't figure it out, it'd be helpful to see how you do it.

Dotflareâs Gabriel model, Gabrielâs body pillow, and weirdly (but not so weirdly) animations of Gabriel from Mirabeau (he appears most in the Signalis video) , Doomguybot, kyledoesstuff, and richo-anim with varying Gabriel models at different angles. I have a them saved on a discord for references with shit like his arm and leg armor. spinning him around in game help a TON.

Gabrielâs pauldrons are the worst thing ever but deadass just spin him around until u understand đ
For gabeâs pauldrons theyâre a box with a hollow dome on it. and for his kneepads you can also get away with them being flat instead of curved. Iâd recommend getting good at drawing weird ass shapes at weirdass angles to at least try to parse what youâre seeing!
