I used to think having an addictive personality was a bad thing I was never able to have balance between a social life and a gym life it has always been one or the other and because I'm hard headed as hell I ended up spending more time in the bars than in the gym during most of my 20s but I have realized and come to terms with the fact nothing is wrong with an addictive personality as long as it stays focused on things that make you better and not things that leave you in a stagnant place in life. Nothing is wrong with me I'm just wired differently and we all just have to find that balance in our lives that keep us moving forward and not just living day by day with no purpose
You know what the greatest thing about todays day and age with the internet is? If you want to try something new you have never done before you can google it YouTube it and with a lot of practice and persistence you can figure it out and then the level of work you put in will determine how well you become at it…I’m still at the practicing a lot stage my snatches were ugly but progressing
Something I saw and have thought a lot about as to why…
1. We must stay away from the uninspired because without inspiration there is no personal growth. Surround yourself with a diverse group of people who look to build a brighter future for themselves, the world around them, and the people in. Pull inspiration from these people to apply to your own life.
2. Unexcited people are just miserable. If you are not passionate about what you’re doing and excited to get started every day you need to quit whatever it is and find what makes you excited. Life is too short to live unexcited and miserable with your day to day routine. I know you can’t necessarily quit your job at the drop of a hate but you can start laying a foundation and getting things in order to one day tell your boss to F**k off and you can go do what you love.
3. This is the biggest one to stay away from and that’s ungrateful people. They are typically the ones who always have their hand out they say thank you if you help them out but if you’re ever in need they somehow are conveniently always busy and can’t help. You can’t be around ungrateful people because they will eventually try sucking you dry, and never be able to return the favor if you ever come to call for help. Always stay humble, giving, full of thanks, and never forget who was there for you and who wasn’t.

Sometimes we have to cut old friends and even family off because they either lay that fear of doubt in to our head or hold us back from what we are working for...don't be afraid to cut the string and keep your nose to the grind stone knowing in the end they will still be at the bottom of the mountain wondering how you made it to the top #fitness #grit #igfitness #americangritproject #beastorbitch
