Sometimes I just have this mental image of Rey being absolutely feral and kicking ass with her staff in the sweltering heat of Jakku. She’s sweaty and full of sand and absolutely raging because some idiot tried stealing her stuff. When she’s done with her chaotic ass-kicking she just digs her staff in the sand and one of her buns are messed up.

Then I think of how Ben would’ve lost his mind seeing shit like this. Seeing her just relentlessly kick ass. He’d be angry that she has to even go through so much of that in the first place, but enamored because he would be obsessed with how great of a fighter she is while being completely untamed. He’d be in awe of her abilities and her talent. If Ben were on Jakku and saw that in person he’d fucking collapse because she’d still be so effortlessly beautiful even when her hair is messed up from a fight and there’s sand everywhere and it’s too hot for any kind of decency and just—
