đBlack Cherry Miku!

hold on let me try to invent a version of myself who can get us out of this mess [holds really still for a minute and a half and then turns to you with a flat affect] we probably should have killed ourselves an hour ago

I finally understand why that argument was always making me angry
This is what I was talking about in my post the other day!
Why did it take me so many paragraphs and words when this single sentence sums it up so well :/
I guess i expanded on it? Like, I went into more detail on what relationships including a-spec people could look like.
But anyway, yes, this is why it makes me mad! It's a misappropriation of legitimate parts of the a-spec identity in order to undermine our identity, because it goes against prevalent and deeply engrained allonormative and amatonormative beliefs.
[ID: Screenshot of a tiktok, cropped to focus on the text. The background shows the top of a personâs head, standing in front of some shelves that hold stuffed toys and manga. The text reads: âI can tell many people have interpreted âasexuals/ aromantics can be in relationships tooâ as âasexuals/aromantics can be normal tooâ and have not actually thought about how a lack of or differently experienced level of attraction impacts that relationship.â /end ID]
I've been saying and preaching, this is really crazy bc megan in particular has been so transparent about having sex with women
[Image Description: Screenshots of tweets and quote-tweets. The first image shows a tweet by SpinboutU12 that says: "every rap girl fakes being bi for a cute aesthetic like I've come to peace with the fact that no lesbian or bi girl will be even remotely feminine, only dykes are legit". It's been quote-tweeted by CranGrapes, who says: "At some point we have to unpack how ppl are especially critical of Black bisexuals (Black female bisexuals in particular) bc they don't express it in a way nonblack ppl understand".
The second image shows a tweet by codyjbland. It says: "this habit of adopting bisexuality for the sake of appealing to your LGBT fanbase while never actually dating women is so weird to me. and yes it was weird when Doja and Nicki did it too". It's been quote-tweeted by bluepantheress, who says: "white queers begging for proof of a black person's queerness will never not be weird to me". End Image Description]
sometimes you just gotta let people believe whatever theyâre gonna believe and realize no amount of explanation, proof, or back and forth will get them to see your side or their own faults in a situation and just it is what it is
