Aleksandr Kallus canonically spent a night talking with Zeb Orrelios on a frozen moon and decided he was done with the Empire.

Broke all his oaths and gave it all to fulfill his role as a rebel spy, abandoned his successful military career, knowing it was a matter of time until he was discovered, endured a beating, risked his life to liberate Lothal (while almost losing his shit seeing Zeb risk his life) and then left for Lira San to live among Zeb’s people.

And Filoni wants me to believe they are just very good friends 🙂
