Ramble about their relationship underneath if y'all wanna read
Was gonna post this on my bday bc I had a vision for smt I wanted to ramble about but wording things is hashtagdifficult
Basically I js like how important they are to each other in a non-traditional sense overall. I like that darkvolt can exist without it defaulting to the usual romantic scenarios when it comes to shipping. I mean I like to whimsy out via the office au n have them interact in a more domestic setting, but they do very much work as hero/ villain
Aroace dw is good for darkvolt, they don't need a stereotypical relationship by any means, they are always going to be arch enemies, but that doesn't erase the fact that they're important to eachother n they got history
Megs may not remember it, but at the end of the day, he finds enjoyment in bickering w the guy n they really do mesh well dynamic wise–they make each other's lives fun
Dw doesn't see megavolt as a real danger, he knows he can take him down and he knows megavolt will be back and they can do it all over again
Personally I like to imagine that dw gets a lil bummed if megavolt hasn't made an appearance in a while bc he misses bickering n being an ass towards him
What dw appreciates most is a partnership n having someone to rely on, While Launchpad is that in the literal and obvious sense–Megavolt is too. He relies on him being there always n they have some sort of camaraderie by being able to be enemies but also put that aside and dw not actually be upset by that? It's interesting bc dw has such a small circle of people he lets work alongside him, and megavolt somehow falls into that
Ig it doesn't really have much to do w him being aroace but idk. I think it's fun n important to recognise what he actually seeks out in people
The aroace dw hc is very important to me, and I would love to do a ramble on that alone but not rn. Anyways bc his relationships aren't romantic, relationships such as the one he has with megavolt/lp take that spot. Office au obv megavolt becomes more important but. Yeah
