Hi! Are you a Gw2 artist/content creator? Do you struggle getting High Def references of some stuff in game because it's too pixelated or those damn shaders are in the way? Struggling still with figuring out the details on that dress on your character? Maybe you just enjoy a bit lore and art watching! Did you know a lot of Anet artists and sculptors post their work for Guild Wars 2 on Art Station in High Res?

-> I have made a Google Docs compiling a list of works posted by Arena Net employees on Art Station! <- It includes model sheets, early concept art, 3d models, you name it!

I compiled these for myself and my friends at first, but I thought I might as well share! Hope it's useful to someone or that you learn something new about the behind-the-scenes of Guild Wars 2. If you have any suggestions to add and see any mistakes as well feel free to throw a DM!

Probably said this before at some point but I forever love to make the parallel that both of Rumi and Jinu’s goals that they were trying so hard to achieve would’ve ultimately ended in their detriment.

If the Golden Honmoon was ever achieved, it probably wouldn’t know the difference between demon and half-demon. It sees what it’s meant to banish and forces all of them below the Honmoon. Rumi could’ve ended up on the wrong side after spending her whole life building the very thing that sent her there. So much self-sacrifice, for a goal that damned her, and Rumi will only blame herself for not being human enough to be spared instead of realizing it never mattered in the first place. And a lone Hunter in the demon realm, right after the Honmoon is sealed? That’s, unfortunately, the perfect scapegoat. Even without Gwi-Ma ordering retribution, many demons would want it anyways.

On the flip side, if Jinu got what he wanted and lost such a core memory of himself? Forgetting his shame and god knows what else Gwi-Ma decided to wipe? Probably would have some pretty drastic changes in personality. How much would Gwi-Ma would take in response is another thing, because if he can remove memories, why not cause Jinu to forget the things that make him human? He asked for it, didn’t he? Why not take advantage of a newly mind wiped Jinu and mold him into someone loyal to him? Why not do whatever he wants? Jinu could be free of the shame that haunted him for centuries, but god knows what mistakes and vulnerabilities that would open him up to in return.

Two goals that could’ve (and probably even would’ve) gone very poorly for them but they were chasing anyways. And two goals, with each other’s influence, they learned to let go to embrace better things (change and acceptance; forgiveness and redemption).

Anyways. I’m so normal about them.

Also not her keeping her demon eye out for a good 45 seconds while giving Gwi-ma the light of day when she could've reverted at any time. Just to bait and switch him. As with Jinu mocking him. Lmao Bonus:

btw i love when dubcon is used in fiction as a way to explore characters. i love when characters don’t understand how to “properly” ask for consent because they have never had their consent respected in their lives. i love when traumatized adult characters make potentially unwise choices about what to do with their bodies because they have the autonomy to do so. i love when characters make choices that i personally wouldn’t make, but i can totally understand how they got there. i love when characters have complex, fucked up, unhealthy dynamics, but still care about each other and want to do better. i love when writers trust audience members to read between the lines instead of spoon feeding them moral lessons. i love when characters are allowed to actually fuck up and have mistakes to learn from!
