Now I finally understand this sequence.
Jon tried to find his way to get to the godswood and kill the Night King in time to protect Bran but the wight dragon blocked the gate of the godswood so he couldn’t get through.
Theon hopelessly charged at the NK to buy more time for Jon/ Arya/ whoever with the Valyrian steel sword to get to the godswood.
The Night King approached Bran after killing Theon.
0:18 Jon noticed something (Arya), he tried to stand up but he was too drained.
NK came closer to Bran. Bran calmly looked at his foe, he was not afraid.
1:16 NK noticed something odd, but he was overconfident that his prey was his to kill.
1:25 Jon pulled one last try. He picked up his remaining strength, stood up and faced the wight dragon straight. He shouted “Gooooo. Go.” He drew the dragon’s attention to him and was about to sacrifice himself, to create a distraction, so that Arya could get through the gate.
NK was about to kill Bran.
1:38 A breeze. Arya successfully sneaked into the godswood.
1:42 Arya appeared from the shadow and attacked the NK from behind.
The Stark kids were brave. They deserve a lot of hugs.
Theon charged at death fearlessly.
Bran faced an almost certain death with calmness and looked at death in the eyes.
Jon was not an idiot when he faced the dragon, he was sacrificial. He was willing to give up his life to create a chance for Arya to finish off the NK.
Arya never gave up. She delivered the final blow.
Brave, resilient and selfless, they are the true heroes of this story.
