HEY ARTISTS!

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

Chapter 12: "My Brother's Keeper"

Epona raced down the slopes of Eldin Volcano, her hooves tearing up the ground, white mane blazing behind her. Sky grimaced as he gripped Twilight’s midriff from behind, the saddle walloping his undercarriage like he was one of Groose’s punching bags. This was nothing like the weightless bliss of loftwing flight. It had to be payback for what he’d put the captain through on his bird. His face smooshed against Twilight’s back as the rancher jerked the reins with a sudden “Whoa!” and brought the horse to a halt.

As the dust settled, Sky blinked the grit from his eyes. They had arrived at the Links’ new campsite—a different part of the woods from where they’d had their battle, thank goodness. Twilight leapt to the ground with the dexterity of someone who’d done this a thousand times.

“Done and done,” he said, patting his steed’s muscular neck. “Found Epona and took care of the monsters. Or what was left of them, anyway.”

Time sat on a fallen log with his bandaged knee propped up. He had shed his armor, the plates stacked to the side, and a bowl of one of Wild’s hearty soups was cupped in his hands. “Nice work, Pup. You too, Knight of Skyloft.”

Wincing, Sky dismounted with far less grace than his companion, folding over as his feet hit the ground. After a grueling fight followed by a painful horseback ride, Sky didn’t think he’d feel right again for another week. “There weren’t many left,” he said, hands on his knees. “They were hiding out in the caves. A couple bomb flowers did the trick.”

I tell this story all the time but I'll tell it again! When I taught kindergarten full time, we had a working bee one weekend where we did a bunch of gardening/landscaping in the outdoor area. One of the dads put up a bit of fencing, then stood back and had a look, kind of frowning like he wasn't sure. His wife then came along, and the following conversation ensued:

Wife: GETMO? Husband: (after a moment, with a sigh) Yeah, GETMO. Me: GETMO? Wife and husband, in perfect unison: Good Enough To Move On

Absolutely LIFE CHANGING acronym, friends and enemies.
