Season 3 also has Lena saying a lot of things like âI grew up with the most deceptive people in the world, honesty is important to meâ, and âI really like you, I donât want to push you awayâ, and âthere are going to be things about my work I canât tell youâ (to which James replies âif you think a secret needs to be kept, then it needs to be kept. I trust you.â) and idk itâs just making me really sad about S4 now.
I knew it had to happen sometime but not like that. Thank you Supergirl writers for the apex writing while it lasted for one of the best relationships on the show. I'll see myself out.
When the scene started out with Lena being apologetic for retreating inside herself ⊠I was ready to throw hands.
But James did, finally, own up.
âI got up on my moral high horse ⊠I was wrong.â

The way Lena's eyes well up at the end of this scene just cuts me to pieces. Tell me that this is not genuine pain in her eyes for James' reaction to her action.
With you as my co-pilot.Â

In 4Ă01, Lena chooses to not allow James to deal with the whole Guardian civil issue. The whole situation reminds me of that episode last season when Kara asked James to sneak into L-Corp to look for the synthetic kryptonite. As conflicted as James was in that episode, he still went along with Karaâs plan which shows that he did grapple with a lack of faith in Lena.
The loyalty and mutual love is there between James and Lena, but there was a lack of complete trust. Lena may trust James but what she lacks is the full trust in James, which will allow her to let James sort out his own issues. This is the GuardianCorp imperfection. Later this season, the conflict that will spring between Lena and James will definately stem from this.

EXCLUSIVE: We will finally meet a James Olsen relative on Supergirl. Azie Tesfai (Jane The Virgin) is set to recur on Season 4 as Kelly Olsen, the sister of iconic DC character Olsen, played by Mehcad Brooks. Kelly is an intelligent and insightful woman who spent time in the military in order to pay for medical school. Sheâs recently discharged from the military and is currently finishing her training as a psychiatrist. Sheâs got a large heart and cares deeply about others.
In Season 3, Kara (Melissa Benoist) grappled with the sacrifices sheâd made and whether she should give up her human identity altogether while still battling the threats to National City, including new villains Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar), and the âWorldkiller,â known as Reign (Odette Annable). Those battles continue in Season 4, which kicked off last Sunday.
Kelly Olsen joins another high-profile Supergirl addition this season. The series just confirmed that iconic villain Lex Luthor will make his first appearance on The CW series in Season 4.
Based on the DC Comics characters, Supergirl is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Jessica Queller, Robert Rovner and Sarah Schechter.
Tesfai played the major recurring role of police detective Nadine Hanson on the first two seasons of the CWâs Jane The Virgin. Her recent TV credits include guest roles on NCIS: Los Angeles, The Real OâNeals, Rosewood, Superstore and a recurring on Powers. Sheâll next be seen in Netflixâs comedy series The Kominsky Method. Tesfai is repped by Stone Manners Salners Agency, Vincent Nastri of Bleecker Street Entertainment and attorney Lawrence Kopeikin.
