im so close to upping and leaving and never coming back, changing my name and just going away forever

everyone's disappointed in me but pretends not to be and i TRY to fix it and all i get are sighs beccause it's not good enough

i come home with uni choices to make and they just sigh and say this isn't what we had planned

well no it isnt but look here i fucked up my exams 

so then they blame school for being crap well no i have great teachers who took the exam? who wrote all the wrong things? Me. so i failed them

so they just sigh again and say well it's all gone pear shaped LIKE I DONT ALREEADY FUCKING KNOW THAT AND IT DOESNT KEEP ME UP ALL NIGHT BECAUSE I HAVE RUINED MY WHOLE FUCKING FUTURE????????

people need to just realise i am not intelligent. yes im pretty bright, im not stupid at all - i can understand a lot of stuff but im not A* intelligent 

i did well at gcse because i never put in tonnes of effort, i glided and it came naturally

a levels are harder

i continued to glide

i crashed and sunk and now im drowning 

so dont be blaming the people who made the boat blame the one who crashed it into an iceberg

i feel like i shouuld tell someone about this but then it all gets back full circle in the end and it';; be more disappointment and more doctors and horrible sessions in places they dont call hospitals but we all know what it is and i just ah 

i want to tell people but friends have their own issues and also im not supposed to air out dirty laundry and if i tell school then they have to phone home and i just ew ew ew ew ewew ewewewewewewe

i want to live forever as Bear Grylls in a cave like the cavemen, where I have nothing but paper and pen and I'll write for the rest of my life because that's fun and characters will love you even if you fail your exams and want to quit school

No but this was so heartwarming to me because it’s something that shows what a good and caring teacher she is, especially since, as head of house, she’s put in the roll of guardian while the students are at school. Like, she encourages Neville to take Charms (a subject he’s decent in and enjoys) instead of Transfiguration (the subject she loves and teaches but knows he has no proclivity for), telling him that she’ll deal with any resulting fall out from his grandmother personally, after praising him on his skill with Herbology. She’s watched Seamus through the years, seen how many of his nascent attempts in new forms of magic result in explosions, and not only finds a way to weaponise that to protect the school at a crucial moment, but turns what has previously been a source of misfortune into a positive, allowing him to use his natural abilities in a valuable and constructive way. She realises that just because he did it by mistake, that doesn’t mean he can’t use it in a beneficial way. Professor Minerva McGonagall. Badass and A* teacher.
