I’ve had this blog since March of 2013, and hot damn. *shakes head* I’ve had a year of having this blog treated mostly like a meme archive, except by the few people who still rp with me. I’m sorry that I’m doing this so suddenly; however I feel like for my own personal reasons, a restart is needed.

Geriant kept his distance but nodded at her. “ I know, Lira. That’s why i’m not going to speak to you about them.” He knelt down to her level, little thing that she was, and held his arms wide. Geriant simply stayed there, watching her and waiting for her reaction. “ May i have a hug, little sister? perhaps after i can tell you of the little adventure we had on the way back?”

Clearly, Gerry didn’t hold any grudge for her harsh words, which made Lira feel a little better. He knelt to her level, hell, her brother must’ve still thought of her as a child, after two years. She was sixteen now, certainly not a kid anymore (even if her brother did tower over her quite a bit), bigger and stronger than when they left home, and she decided to prove it to him by pulling Geriant into the tightest hug she could manage, putting all the strength of her arms in it

“You can.” She chuckled softly in his ear. “… If no one gets killed or maimed in that story.”

He laughed, hugging her back, and smiling. “ Alright little sister. i’ll skip over the more gruesome parts.” He pulled away and ruffled her hair. “ Do you know where mother is? I haven’t said hello to her yet. Then you’ll get your story.”

Geriant frowned, letting out a sigh before he followed his mother to a more private room.

“ Mother i know i should have told you of my son. Father’s already spoke to me about all of that.” He ran a hand over his face. “ But there is little to do, I need to go see him. he’s ill at the moment, and Jessa would like me to come see him if the Maester cannot heal him. “

“ Please understand.”

Of course her husband would already know of it; Janna almost rolled her eyes when she heard that. She made a silent vow to herself to seek him out later and question him about the subject.

Janna was silent for several minutes, her emotions warring for dominance inside her head.

“You should have told me sooner,” She finally said, a small sigh parting her lips again, as she ran a hand through her locks. Had the circumstances been different, there was no doubt in her mind, that she would have been a lot more angry at her son. But his child - her grandson - was sick, and at that present moment in time, her maternal instincts outweigh her desire to smack him upside the head for keeping this from her for so long.

“You should go to them as soon as you can. Leave tonight if you must - I’ll handle any fallout with your siblings.” A warm smile formed on Janna’s lips. “If the boy is not to make it, he at least deserves to know his father.”

relief crossed his face, followed by a smile that brightened it. he stepped forward to wrap her in a tight hug that breaks the tension he felt. He nodded against her shoulder, before pressing a kiss to her cheek.

pulling away, he reached up to cup her cheek. “ Thank you, Mother. i’ll be back in a month. perhaps i’ll bring my boy with me. Mayhaps even Jessa will wish to see us again.”

With that Geriant pulled away, hurrying out of the room to ready his horse.
