100+ Natural Remedies You Need To Know — The Pistachio Project — Review — Book
Have you Heard of Keto? {My Experience So Far…} - FREE Plan..
I turned 40 last year and while I do not feel any mid-life crisis coming on (but if I do I am going to make sure it is something fun!), I did take it as a chance to reflect on my life so far and any changes I needed to make. I have suffered terrible stomach aches after I eat for the past two years and because I knew deep down what it was, I did nothing about it because I was not in a place where I was ready to give up those things. When I finally was ready, I started eating Keto. If you are curious about this lifestyle and want to know my tips for eating Keto, keep reading :) If not, that’s okay too. I have a big room makeover reveal coming soon so you can just come back for that. I’ll still love you.
I had heard about the “diet” called Keto early last year and started to read a ton of information on it. I tend to research the crap out of pretty much anything before I take a plunge. Vacations, products, etc. Basically it is a no sugar, no grains lifestyle. It is also a low carb diet. The idea is that since you are not eating very many carbs, that your body will burn the fat instead. While eliminating my stomach pain was my main goal and motivation, I do have some extra weight I need to drop. I figured if I could tackle both with the same change in diet, then it was a win, win.

¿Puedes imaginar?

14 Natural Ways to Get a Better Night’s Sleep — Review : Book
Although it’s common to have the occasional sleepless night, insomnia is the inability to sleep or excessive wakening in the night that impairs daily functioning. Of natural remedies, three have been shown to be useful, and others have some preliminary but inconclusive evidence.
Since chronic lack of sleep may be linked to a number of health problems (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression), it’s important to consult your physician and avoid self-treating with alternative medicine. While you might be tempted to turn to an over-the-counter sleep aid, there are numerous natural remedies to consider, such as the 14 below.
Melatonin supplements are widely recommended for various sleep conditions, but the best evidence is for help with sleep problems caused by shift work or jet lag. Melatonin is a naturally-occurring hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle in the brain. It is produced from serotonin when exposure to light decreases at night.
It is used in conditions where sleep is disordered due to low levels of melatonin at night such as aging, affective disorders (e.g. depression), delayed sleep-phase disorder, or jet lag. Melatonin supplements may improve sleep quality and morning alertness in older adults with insomnia.
Timed-release melatonin is used to treat primary insomnia in people over age 55 in the European Union and elsewhere. In most studies on melatonin for insomnia in older adults, melatonin was taken up to two hours before bedtime for up to 13 weeks.
The timing is important-when melatonin is taken in the morning, it delays circadian rhythms but advances them when taken in the afternoon or early evening.

Would You Restrict Carbs to Ease Diabetes Management? (ADA 2020) — Review Natural System
Children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes are currently living at a time of a big diabetes technology boom. Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps are becoming more popular and offer the promise of better glycemic management and more freedom and peace of mind. As research and clinical trials on automated insulin delivery systems are in full-swing, clinicians from The Joslin Diabetes Center, Yale University, and Harvard University were interested in understanding various patient preferences. In one study, they posed the following question:
Would young people with type 1 diabetes be willing to limit their carbohydrate intake to a maximum of 50 g per meal if this meant they wouldn’t have to administer a manual bolus using an artificial pancreas (AP) system?

Keto Diet Plan Recipes That Will Make You Lose Weight in 7 Days | Review — Free Plan
Keto Diet Plan Recipes- Dieting to lose weight can pose a daunting task to undergo for those with excess body fat. Switching to a new diet plan can be quite frustrating and very difficult to adjust to. However, having the right diet affects your health positively. A very effective diet for weight loss is the ketogenic diet, otherwise known as the low carb diet.
Free Plan Here..
Well, ketogenic comes from the word ketosis. Some of you already have questions like “what is ketosis?” Well, it is a state in which your body breaks down fat molecules into ketones to provide energy. You achieve this state by simply consuming less carbohydrate and more of the right type of fat to lose weight.
By eating fewer carbs and more fat, your liver begins producing energy molecules known as ketones. Essentially, the body begins using fat as an energy source instead of the energy molecule (ATP). While this can be a daunting thought to overcome, having an appropriate food list should help you establish the ultimate keto diet lifestyle.
The keto meal plan always seeks to ensure you get 3 balanced and healthy meals every day. The greatest part of a keto diet plan is the fact that it does not lead to muscle loss, meanwhile, a carb-based diet leads to loss of muscle.
This is because weight loss in a high-carb, calorie-restricted diet often comes from muscle and fat. Whereas, you can get rid of excess body fat without losing muscle, with low-carb keto meals.
Keto meals often lead to a significant loss of water during its early stages. This is because carbs convert to glycogen in your body, which stores in water within the muscles and liver. Your body disposes of water as you reduce stored glycogen. This is a huge part of the initial weight loss during the first few weeks of ketosis.
This most times results in weight loss as well as less bloating, giving you more attractive physical features. Before you can understand how to start a ketogenic diet, you have to first know the benefit it offers

Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
Calendula is also known as pot marigold. It’s a centuries-old antifungal, antiseptic, wound-healing ally, according to the National Library of Medicine. The petals of these cheerful yellow and orange daisy-like flowers lend skin-soothing properties to many natural cosmetics and diaper creams.
Calendula is a freely reseeding annual that blooms all season long. It makes a lovely addition to gardens with full sun. Harvest the petals fresh. You can also dry entire blooms — which close in the evening — before they form seeds.
Cilantro (Coriandrum sativum)
Cilantro boasts a unique flavor people either love or hate. The leaves often garnish Mexican and Thai dishes. The seeds, known as coriander, are a prime ingredient in Indian curries.
Few think of this plant as a medicinal herb, but studies show it’s a powerful digestive aid and may be capable of removing heavy metals and other toxic agents from the body.
Cilantro grows best in a cool, moist garden and will quickly bolt in hot weather. Look for slow bolt varieties from seed companies.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
The oils, tannins, and bitters in lemon balm’s fragrant leaves and flowers have a relaxing antispasmodic effect on the stomach and nervous system. It may help fight off viruses like herpes simplex when used topically, according to the NYU Langone Medical Center(NYULMC).
Lemon balm is tasty and gentle enough for children when prepared in teas or tinctures with a glycerin base.
This calming and uplifting perennial makes a pretty patch of bright green in the garden and is a great plant to grow fresh. The dried herb loses some potency after six months.

Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)
Spearmint and peppermint are familiar flavors in toothpaste and chewing gum. Both pack a powerfully refreshing zing, but the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) reports that peppermint makes stronger medicine than its more culinary cousin.
Peppermint may relieve digestive discomforts like indigestion and vomiting when brewed as tea. It can also soothe sore muscles when applied topically as a liquid or lotion.
All mints spread rampantly in a moist garden. Consider growing each plant in its own large pot. Harvest leaves just before flowering. Any longer and they’ll begin to taste bitter.

Why Follow a Keto Diet?
The ketogenic diet is a high fat.
Low carb diet that’s become increasingly popular for weight and fat loss.
As we explain extensively in our , the principle keto diet mastery of the keto diet is to:
“Eat fat to burn fat.”
By heavily restricting carbs — your body’s primary fuel source — your body begins to burn your fat stores for fuel instead, which produces ketones.
In addition to weight loss and energy, the keto diet has been shown to support skin health, cognitive function, memory, and hormonal balance ( ) .
Now, let’s dive into the keto diet nutrient ratios and the keto food list.
How Much Fat Do You Need on the Keto Diet?
On the keto diet, you’ll be eating a small amount of protein and very few carbs.
That leaves the rest of your micronutrient consumption to fats — anywhere between 60–75%.
There are four different types of you can follow. Each version is high fat and low carb but with different macronutrient ratios.
For example, the Standard Ketogenic Diet (SKD) is the most popular version of the keto diet and the one we’re referring to throughout this article.
The SKD recommends:
The second type is the High Protein Keto Diet, which is geared mostly towards extremely active people or athletes.
This version of the keto diet recommends:
If your reason for following the keto diet is to lose weight, you typically won’t eat more than 20–25 grams of carbs per day.
To put that into perspective, a medium-sized banana is around 23 grams of net carbs — so even eating bananas in moderation would almost be enough to prevent the average person from entering ketosis.
People who are extremely active are the exception, as they require more fuel( ).
As you can see, the macronutrient ratios of your keto meals can vary depending on your personal needs.
However, your fat ratio must always be significantly higher than carbs and proteins.
The keto calculator can give you a general sense of how much fat you should be eating, although your individual nutrient requirements may vary.
It’s a good idea to consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner to determine your unique nutrient needs so you can achieve the results you’re looking for.
What Kind of Fats Are OK?
Since fats make up 75% of dietary macros, they’re obviously a vital aspect of the ketogenic diet.
There are four types of ketogenic-approved fats:
For many years, experts believed that consuming too many saturated fats could potentially be linked to poor cardiovascular health.
More recent research has shown that there is no direct link between saturated fats and cardiovascular health and that these fats may be beneficial for your body( ).
Some saturated fats also contain medium-chain-triglycerides (MCTs), which the body converts into energy for enhanced physical performance and accelerated fat loss.
MCTs are commonly found in oils such as coconut oil and MCT oil.
Now, let’s get into which foods you’ll be enjoying most often on the keto diet, which foods you can eat occasionally and which foods are off limits so you can get started on your very own ketogenic diet meal plan.
Keto Food List
The good news is that the ketogenic food list offers plenty of variety.
With fats being the most satiating macronutrient, you’ll find it’s impossible to go hungry on a keto diet.
In fact, there’s no calorie restrictions on the keto diet — you can eat what you please as long as you stay in ketosis.
Here are the keto-friendly foods you’ll want to be eating most often on the Standard Ketogenic Diet (for a complete, detailed list, see our infographic below):

The Top 10 Herbal Medicine Herbs- review — The Last Book
Did you know that about 25 percent of the drugs prescribed worldwide are derived from plants? Of the 252 drugs in the World Health Organization’s essential medicine list, 11 percent are exclusively of plant origin. In fact, about 200 years ago the first pharmacological compound, morphine, was produced from opium extracted from the seed pods of the poppy flower.
Since then, scientists have been studying plants to create the pharmaceutical products we know today. But after years of overmedicating, facing resistant bacteria in the microbiome and treating the illness rather than the root of the problem, people are beginning to pay more attention to natural, herbal medicine. ( 1)
Millions of dollars have recently been invested in looking for promising medicinal herbs . These substantial research investments in traditional herbal medicine are still relatively modest when compared to the overall pharmaceutical industry, but it proves that researchers are beginning to steer away from conventional drug development and look toward more alternative and natural forms of treatment.
Natural plant products have been used throughout human history for various purposes. In fact, written records of the use of herbal medicine date back more than 5,000 years, and for much of history, herbal medicine was the only medicine.
Today, plants are being used to treat a number of health concerns and conditions, including allergies, arthritis, migraines, fatigue, skin infections, wounds, burns, gastrointestinal issues and even cancer — proving that it’s true that food is medicine . These herbs are less expensive and they’re a safer means of treatment than conventional medications, which is why so many people are choosing to go back to this traditional idea of medicine.

What Is Herbal Medicine?
Herbal medicines are naturally occurring, plant-derived substances that are used to treat illnesses within local or regional healing practices. These products are complex mixtures of organic chemicals that may come from any raw or processed part of a plant.
Herbal medicine has its roots in every culture around the world. There are many different systems of traditional medicine, and the philosophy and practices of each are influenced by social conditions, environment and geographic location, but these systems all agree on a holistic approach to life. Well-known systems of herbal medicine like and Traditional Chinese Medicine Ayurvedic Medicine believe in the central idea that there should be an emphasis on health rather than on disease. By using healing herbs, people can thrive and focus on their overall conditions, rather than on a particular ailment that typically arises from a lack of equilibrium of the mind, body and environment.
Although botanical medicine has been practiced for thousands of years, it continues to be of use in the modern, Western world. The World Health Organization recently estimated that 80 percent of people worldwide rely on herbal medicines for some part of their primary health care, and the worldwide annual market for these products is approaching $60 billion. People in the United States have become more interested in herbal medicine because of the rising cost of prescription medication and the returning interest in natural or organic remedies. ( 2)
Whole herbs contain many ingredients that are used to treat diseases and relieve symptoms. Herbal medicine, also called botanical medicine, uses the plant’s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark or flowers for medicinal purposes. The biological properties of these plants have beneficial effects. Other factors are responsible for their benefits as well, such as the type of environment in which the plant grew, the way in which it was harvested and how it was processed. The plant is either sold raw or as extracts, where it’s macerated with water, alcohol or other solvents to extract some of the chemicals. The resulting products contain dozens of chemicals, including fatty acids, sterols, alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins and others. ( 3)

Benefits of Herbal Medicine
1. More Affordable than Conventional Medicine
Modern medical science certainly comes with a high price tag, and pharmaceuticals are no exception. One reason why herbal medicine is becoming more popular recently is because people simply can’t afford to pay for their medication month after month.
A systematic review published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine evaluated whether or not natural health products provide a cost-effective choice in the treatment of disease. Researchers found that natural health products show evidence of cost-effectiveness in relation to postoperative surgery and complications. ( 4) More research is needed to determine the cost-effectiveness in other areas of modern medicine, but the preliminary data suggests that herbal products are more affordable than pharmaceuticals.
2. Easier to Obtain than Prescription Medications
Herbal products, such as herbal extracts, essential oils and herbal teas, are available in most health food and even grocery stores, so you don’t have to see a doctor to get prescriptions before purchasing them. This certainly makes it easier to obtain herbal products and avoid additional health care costs.
Herbs are classified as dietary supplements, so they can be produced, sold and marketed without going through the FDA. Although this makes it easier to purchase and use these beneficial products, it’s our job as consumers to choose among the competitors. Make sure to read the ingredients and labels carefully before using any herbal supplement. Purchase from a reputable and trustworthy company that verifies the product is 100 percent pure-grade.
3. Hold Beneficial, Healing Properties
Herbs are used for the treatment of chronic and acute conditions and various ailments, including major health concerns like cardiovascular disease, prostate problems, depression, inflammation and weakened immune system. Herbs are used around the world to treat conditions and diseases, and many studies prove their efficacy. In fact, of the 177 drugs approved worldwide for the treatment of cancer, more than 70 percent are based on natural products or chemical imitations of natural products. ( 5)

NEW DIABETIC SYSTEM …
Researchers have warned that hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and chloroquine (CQ), two similar drugs repeatedly touted by President Trump to be promising treatments for COVID-19, may be toxic when combined with a common diabetes drug.
The new study was published online on scientific pre-print server BioRxiv and shows that 30–40% of mice treated with a combination of HCQ or CQ and diabetes drug metformin, died. Treatment with the same dose of either drug alone had no effect on the survival of the mice.
HCQ and CQ are typically used to treat malaria and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, but have also shown some early promise in the treatment of certain types of cancer, with several clinical trials ongoing.
“Our interest in this combination arose because both drugs individually have been shown to have anti-tumor effects in pancreatic cancer,” read a statement from two of the authors of the paper: Chi Dang, director of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and Anirban Maitra, scientific director of the Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. “To our utter surprise, both HCQ and CQ when combined with metformin resulted in a surprising death rate in 30–40% of mice. In contrast, there were no deaths in the single treatment groups,” said the authors.
The work in the recently published study was done before the coronavirus outbreak, with the researchers testing HCQ/CQ and metformin for pancreatic cancer and coming up with this perhaps, serendipitous finding. Due to the nature of the work, some of the mice had pancreatic tumors, however the drug combination proved fatal for the mice with and without pancreatic cancer, at a similar rate.
“Even in mice that did not have any tumors, we found this deleterious effect of the combination, underscoring that it is not dependent on the presence of a tumor,” said the authors.
