When a private eye is around... šŖ
[ID: Juno Steel and Peter Nureyev from The Penumbra Podcast in the style of Killing Eve promo photo shoot. Juno dips a slyly smiling Peter as if they are dancing with āSorry Baby xā written in hot pink script with pink ābloodā dripping from the top of the frame. Juno is Black with shortly cropped hair and a scar over their freckled nose. They wear a look of concern and their left eye is glinting red and teal with a slight blue shimmer cast. Juno wears their classic long tan coat, a navy turtleneck and navy pants. Peter is Asian and wears a partially sheer dark violet blouse/jumpsuit with a bow at the neck, hot pink glasses, and a dangly earring. A knife is tucked neatly behind the waist sash of his outfit.]
Hey penumbra Twitter???? What the fuck????????
Juno steel
I know we donāt really have the details of how the person peter is in debt to came to know his last name, but assuming it was not a voluntary decision, I canāt help but think of how devastated he would be. Even beyond his general fear of having a traceable identity, he was also still getting over Juno walking out on him. Obviously having the name that his ex called him by used against him is itās own kind of yikes, but I think it also solidified that Juno was out of reach.
Peter had trusted one person with his name, and that meant something to him. Having someone else call him Nureyev took away his ability to remember that, even with all that happened, Juno still held a part of him. He went from being overjoyed when he heard his name to afraid.
Give Peter Nureyev a hug pls mr. penumbra he deserves it.
[vague tpp 3.14 spoilers]
me, speaking through clenched teeth: just gotta LOVE those potential s1/s3 parallels, am i right? :)
itās been a long week quick draw comfort characters
FORGOT to post this here but⦠depressing instruments
meanwhile, aboard the carte blanche
canāt wait for humanity to terraform mars, setting into motion a sequence of events that will eventually lead to jupeter inventing romance
Anyways we have two POVs left and Junoās is probably gonna be the last so the likelihood of us experiencing the Nureyev Debt Reveal of 2020 through his perspective is very high. I anticipate a healthy mix of heartbroken, indignant, and determined from our favorite lady. I donāt see him giving Nureyev up twice without a fight.
Could every penumbra ep stop stressing me out more than the last??? Thanks
this scene from She-Ra reminded me of these two, so uhh I had to do a quick redraw

[ID: A comic style drawing of Peter Nureyev and Benzaiten Steel in the āWho?ā scene from TAZ: Balance. In the top half of the image, we see Peter wearing a black turtleneck and a red robe, sitting at a desk with a dark sky backdrop behind him, and the shadow of Benten towards the right part of the picture. Peter is holding several papers and looking at them; he looks worried and tired, and is saying, āBen, what if heās just gone?ā In the bottom part of the pic, we see a close-up of Benās face; he is saying, āWho?ā as a single tear rolls down his cheek. There is static in his eyes. End ID.]
*gets down on one knee* peter nureyev, will you marry me
Remember the time Griffin Mcelroy wanted to be more inclusive in The Adventure Zone so he wrote a wlw couple with tons of depth who were vital to the plot, and then gave them a beautiful but tragic end where they both (supposedly) die, not realizing he had fallen into the Bury Your Gays trope (this was the first romantic relationship heād ever written) so then he proceeded to add another wlw couple who are also amazingly written and important to the plot, who literally get a fairytale ending and marry in the finale and he also resurrects the first couple who are now immortal forest spirits? Because I do
