Job Description:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring a highly motivated Engineering team that successfully achieve their operational objectives on budget and schedule.
The Engineering Manager must fulfill the administrative responsibilities of a Senior Management Executive and operate in accordance with the Company’s Procedure, Policies, HSE Standards and Quality Management System. The operational responsibilities of this position include:
Engineering Support Services
Serving as a Technical Advisor to other Departments.
Providing comprehensive engineering support services such as thermodynamic calculations, stress analysis, 3-D simulation modelling etc. to other departments.
Technical writing, compilation and review of technical documentation including, procedures, work instructions, training materials, white papers, case studies, test plans, test reports etc.
Providing pre and post contract sales support.
Reviewing customer specifications and compliance statements
Product & Process Development
Responsibility for the complete product development cycle including:
Process and test equipment design, fabrication, installation and commissioning
Prepare project proposals, project status reports, ROIs and budgets, test reports, technical justification reports etc.
Tooling design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of equipment
Prepare work scopes, direct and monitor subcontractors
Prepare product development and testing requirements / procedures
Directly monitor product development and testing activities
Compile and analyze test data and prepare test reports
Compile and maintain database of product specifications and test reports
Work with raw material suppliers to develop and evaluate new and improved materials
Develop and implement production scale quality assurance and quality control testing methods and procedures
Generate process specification data sheets for projects
Monitor and periodically audit process for compliance with procedures and specifications
Analyze process data to identify and correct out of specification conditions
Analyze process for continuous improvement initiatives, improve product characteristics and performance, minimize waste and increase efficiency
Generate and maintain process flow diagrams and P & ID’s
Basic - Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Chemical, Mechanical)
10 - 15 yrs of related experience
Extensive experience in an engineering discipline, including supervisory experience, is required.
