|| Get to know GUY DIAMOND who’s TWENTY-EIGHT years old and works as a KARAOKE BAR OWNER in town. He is from FLORIDA and is often times mistaken for AVAN JOGIA while others say he reminds them of GUY DIAMOND from TROLLS. ||

it really is no surprise that guy is so full of himself. his mother was a model, beautiful and mysterious; she was so much of a mystery that guy has and still does spend his days trying to learn more about her. he was mostly raised by his dad who was a fool, but he at least had style. his mother was always working, and his father was always....around. and guy thought it was sad that he saw his dad be a doormat, but it inspired him to never be one himself.
his expensive tastes 100% come from his parents and in school he made sure he was always dressed to impress. he liked having all eyes on him and he liked knowing that he always left an impression on someone. he was a bit of a drama king (and still is) so he really knew how to charm and work a crowd of people.
because he constantly needs attention,. he was constantly sneaking out and getting intro trouble. this peaked in high school especially. but sneaking out to a senior party his sophomore year was how he met the wonderful poppy pink. poppy was the most dazzling person at the party and by far the sweetest. he hadn’t really surrounded himself with sweet until her and he is happy he did because he gets along with poppy better than he ever has with anyone else. they are kindred spirits and he would do almost anything she asked of him.
he is a hedonist to the core. he kept it pretty basic throughout high school but the moment he was in college he took pleasure seeking to every level imaginable. he partied hard; sloppy sex, drugs, alcohol, the works. and there was never a moment where he wasn’t on something or not all over someone.
the incident happened after his 21st birthday. he had been on a bender for a good week and went especially hard for his birthday. being as full of himself as he is he thought he would be able to get behind the wheel while incredibly intoxicated with a bunch of friends and almost lost his life doing it. he got a DUI, lost his license and got a hefty fine.he thanks the party gods poppy wasn’t with him that night.
while none of his friends were hurt, a kid did die at that party that night. guy refuses to talk about it or deal with the fact that it was probably his fault. he was making everyone go as hard as he was, so he couldn’t see a way where it wasn’t his fault.
when he heard about corona and his friends wanting to move he was on board. he needed a new scene, a new place to party, and he was sure corona was gonna be party central. and yes, this was him running away from his problems 100%.
when he first moved to the island he was sure it was a dud. the parties were lame but guy kept pushing through them. he promised poppy he would tone himself down a little bit and he did, sort of. at least he tried to for a bit.but he was bored easily and with boredom came restlessness.
but luckily his boredom did create something positive. one day he ended up at some old karaoke bar that was on its last leg. guy thought that was unacceptable and made it his passion project. he put a lot of his work, sweat, and money into the place, using his cushion for good use. he named his masterpiece Just Sing and it has been his party place ever since.
while he loves Just Sing with his entire being, running the place isn’t enough. so now he has been dabbling in djing, making new mixes to play in the background when there wasn’t anyone singing. he likes doing it and he likes it even more when people mention how good the music scene is in the place.
he recently found out he may or may not have a son. (he does, his name is tiny) yep! he is in complete denial and refuses to even speak on it. but it is on his mind a lot. no one knows, not even poppy. he is not a kid person. (lily rose you are it). honestly he isn’t at the place he needs to be to own up to any responsibilities. he has never had a relationship end well and so he is sure that even if he DID try to claim this kid, he would just be rejected. and he doesn’t do rejection. at all.
he is addicted to glitter. glitter in his hair, glitter in his clothes, glitter at the bar. you know guy has been somewhere from the trails of glitter alone.
he makes people audition to get a job at Just Sing. He finds it hilarious AND feels like a judge in a singing competition that way. sometimes he makes his friends judge with him.
he has nicknames for all of poppy’s exes and current flings.
he is pansexual. he loves everyone and is so touchy. i will make an entire separate post about his exes someday.
he is a leo. (august 5th)
but yeah he just...parties hard, loves selfishly, and looks amazing doing it.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
Exes: he’s been here long enough now to have one or two...depending on how long it lasts since he uhhh is the worst.

Friends: He has friends because of poppy, and he has his own friends. these be his own. but also still probably poppy’s.
