SOMETHING INSIDE TOLD him that he was already getting used to it. He no longer ached for her to be there, he no longer loathed waking up knowing she wouldn't be by his side, and he no longer had the urge to text her anytime he noticed something that reminded him of her. But it was all a lie. It was clear when he read her name, still saved as "my love" on his phone, along with one simple request: to meet her at the Woodlands. Alexander had left the house in a flash after responding to Dila. Arriving there, he couldn't shut all the questions racing through his mind. Was she all right? Did that encounter mean something bigger? Had he done something? His palms were sweaty. Nervousness was taking over him. Footsteps approached slowly, and he looked in their direction, spotting the one person who always made his eyes shine the brightest. Unconsciously, his posture straightened, waiting for her to come closer. "Hey there," he murmured, offering a soft smile, unable to conceal that warm gaze he reserved just for her.
the brunette walked back and forth as she kept looking at her phone. as if she was waiting for him to text her back that he wasn't able to make it after all - or any other sign or excuse for her to not face him. not only because she was scared of his reaction after telling him the big news but also because she hadn't seen him for so long. she had missed him so much and the feeling of guilt and regret wasn't helping either to not think of him. after all ... they had been together for a whole decade. there wouldn't pass by a hour where she wouldn't just think of him. she had caught herself many times where she would just scroll through their old messages and pictures she still had saved on her phone. when she saw alexander walking towards her and the soft smile he gave her; she couldn't help it but frown just a little bit. she could've sworn her heart just dropped down to her stomach. she had missed his smile so much. a soft "hey...," managed to get out of the brunette as she kept staring into his eyes. "thank you ... for making it here so quickly," she said as she gently stepped closer towards him. getting a closer look into his soft blue eyes. "i'm sorry if i - kept you from - your work or - anything else," she mentioned. not knowing what he was currently up to. "how are you?" she questioned, carefully.
STARTER FOR: open! LOCATION: mrs brown’s books.
the minute kennedy set foot in lakeview, she felt uncomfortable in her own skin. it wasn't the all-consuming familiarity of the small town nor was it the scent of her old family home that brought on a number of memories. it was the way walking around town felt like she was the main act in a circus. like any minute she'd be thrown on stage for all her failures to be publicly announced to everyone, giving them an opportunity to laugh at her. she'd resorted to the comfort she found in mrs brown's books where she could bury herself in fiction and dream up different worlds. where she wouldn't have to face her reality. with a heavy sigh, kennedy scanned the entire shelf before spotting a spine that intrigued her. she reached for it, carefully rising on her tiptoes to tilt it towards her. when the book was successfully retrieved in hand, her eyes fell upon a fur ball and she jolted back in surprise. "fucking cat lady," she muttered. "you know, mrs brown wouldn't appreciate you scaring her customers to death." by the time kennedy had regained her composure, she sensed a presence behind her and knew instantly it was too late to attempt to flee. of all the times she'd managed to sneak off before getting spotted, a stupid cat was what got her caught.
it had been a while since kaan stepped inside a bookstore. or even touched a book. if it wasn't for his sister; he probably wouldn't still be here. she had texted him to get her a book that was possibly released today and she was at work and couldn't get it herself. his eyes scanned the bookstore to find the book, but his attention went to kennedy who got scared by a furry friend. a soft chuckle left from kaan's lips. he didn't knew a bookstore would've been so entertaining, after all. "oh come on; they're not that scary. it's just a furry friend," the soccer played smiled. reaching over to the shelf to gently pulling the furry friend into his arms. putting him down on the floor.

LOCATION : the woodlands 🍂
it had been two months since they separated. sixty days of lonely nights. one word that had parted both their ways, but two little red lines caused them to meet up once again. dila had no idea how she was gonna break it to him; after breaking his heart into a million of pieces. she was aware of turning his world yet once again upside down but this wasn't something she could keep to herself, at all. he needed to know. no matter what his reaction was going to be. there she was, at the woodlands where they usually would've been walking together with his dog, lilo. she had asked him over text to meet up with her there, not giving him too much context but telling him she needed to talk to him. her blue eyes searched around for him. searching for his blue eyes in which she found so much peace.
em set her stuff down and let her purse hang from the chair behind her as the bagel and tea set upon the table. she hadn't seen her friend in a long while and it felt nice to sit and talk with someone that wasn't about work or singing. ' i know, it's felt like forever. where have you been hiding, hm? been too busy to even text me back ? ouch. ' she said with a laugh before taking a bite of her bagel. ' yes ! they make it specifically for me here. a little music goes a long way.' she remarked, offering her friend a bite. ' want a bite ? '
a soft laugh escaped from dila's lips as her friend asked her where she had been hiding. "well, i wish i could say i have been hiding at some super-deluxe-spa but ... i'm just mostly in my office. or just working from home," a soft sigh escaped from her plump lips. the brunette bit down in the inside of her cheek as her friend asked her if she wanted a bite. of course she wanted. she had been craving literally anything even chocolate as of lately. she just had to see it and she would want it. without emine having to ask twice dila pulled a piece of the bagel and popped it into her mouth. "of course they do - you're emmy deserving an emmy after all," dila grinned, being entertained by her own word-joke. "gosh - you know what i've also been craving ... strawberry cheesecake," she mentioned, as her eyes caught the many baked goods on the counter behind emine. "i think i'm gonna get some ... you want some too?" dila politely asked.
emine had wandered around the town, doing her morning chores ; gathering groceries and mailing some things out when she saw a familiar face sitting in he corner booth at cup o' joe's. it was dila , an old friend that she hadn't seen in a while since they both had been so busy. smiling and deciding to join her, the femme made her way into the busy cafe , making her usual order of chai tea and a warmed bagel with hummus. she gave a few autographs to some little girls who asked for it near the register before making her way to the booth in the corner.
emine stood before the other female , smiling widely as the other female fiddled around with her paperwork. 'onu benim için sakladığını sanıyordum dostum. ' she said in her native turkish before sitting down , placing her food on the edge of the table and hanging her purse on the back of her chair.
when she saw it was em, a bright wide smile appeared on dila's lips. it had been a while since she had seen her friend. dila had been so busy lately that she hadn't even seen her siblings this whole month. maybe it was time to take a break. but it was dila , after all. "tabi ki canım benim, gel otur," the brunette responded with a big smile. "gosh it has been so long since i've seen you. how have you been? how's life?" dila questioned as her blue eyes caught the bagel in her friends' hand which she put down on the table. suddenly the urge of wanting to get a bagel got extremely high. "is that a bagel with hummus?"dila questioned.

LOCATION : cup o' joes ☕️
at some point, she needed some fresh air and just be not in her office. so she decided to make her way to her favorite cafe: cup o’ joes and bring along her paperwork. sometimes she could focus the best in crowded places than a silent, empty room. it really depends on her mood. as she made it to the cafe she walked towards the table in the corner by the huge window. she put her laptop down onto the table and her bag with files on the small couch. before sitting down onto the couch she ordered herself some tea. as she was filing in some files on her laptop she had not even notice that the cafe was getting crowded. only realizing so when she tilted up her head and saw someone looking around. possibly, assumingely looking around for an empty place to sit. “oh hi - it’s pretty crowded, isn’t it? you can join me, if you would like to. i’ve been keeping this table busy for a while now,” she smiled as she gathered her files together and neatly put them back into her leather map.
