If a scifi or fantasy Empire powered their machines of war with the corpses of dragons and used those war machines to destroy smaller kingdoms just because they happened to have more dragon corpses than the Empire, everyone who even read the summary on the back would agree that Empire is objectively the villain.
... and yet,
Started watching The Terror and frankly idk why everyone is so surprised considering they're on a ship called The Terror. Like what were they expecting to not be terrified?

Best moment of Katabasis so far is when they meet the cohort of dead students who voluntarily stay in Hell when they don't have to, because they'd rather stay charred ghosts if they're the charred ghosts of prestigious Oxbridge attendees rather than risk reincarnation as a farmer or laborer. That bit is C.S. Lewis-worthy.
[actively bleeding out] hold on *coughs* there's a Mountain Goats song about this..... give me my phone. let me just play it for you real *cough* quick
it’s kind of interesting how many straight women are like “I didn’t know my boyfriend of 3 years was a fascist/misogynist/had shit opinions on every major issue because we never talked about politics” you…..didn’t? not about anything important at all? no ‘how are you feeling about [MAJOR NEWS STORY], babe?’ I understand that a lot of conservative men hide their political leanings because they understand most women have absolutely no desire to be with someone who wants their rights to be peeled away but to not have an important conversation on the world ever? him refusing to talk about it with you should have been your first red flag. then again, idk, I love discussing my point of view on things and listening to the unique opinions of the people in my life so it seems so surface level to have a years long relationship and not realize your partner hates minorities and thinks women are the weaker sex or even notice his suspicious behavior.
this screenshot could be its own modern art installation
"The Homework Machine" was written as part of "A Light in the Attic," by Shel Silverstein in 1981.
Briseis: "Do you wanna eat at Chili's?"
Patroclus: "it's pronounced 'Achilles'"

so I have no idea how big the actual audience is for the overlap between dropout and Luigi mangione
but at the end of the multi-year trial that's going on with the Luigi case, Luigi has the opportunity to do the *funniest* thing

just in case anyone forgot, FUCK MARCOS DURAN
if every person who read Parable of the Sower/Talents posted a thousand hate posts, it still wouldn't be enough hate.
