So I've started a murder drones fanfic. Its mostly about Tessa, Lizzy, and some Cyn. I had some ideas based on things I hadn't seen other similar fanfic do. The brain worms take their time so updates will be sporadic.

I lived with someone like this. ITs why I never got anything done in 10+ years. No coding, no writing, nothing. I only started writing again because I got inspired by murder drones fanfiction I had been reading. I love eldritch robots. I feel a bit of shame still. But murder drones has been my first hyper fixation in a long while. SO I feel more myself.

Every time I go to update it feels like I'm going to have a mini panic attack. I get so many hits on my little cringe fanfic that it feels like I'm being judged. But I keep doing it anyway because the thoughts just want out. This chapter focuses on J/Tessa and a little bit of V/Lizzy

Alright chapters 8 and 9 are almost done. Time to work on chapter 10 some more. Might try to only post once a week instead of twice a week. Having backlog makes me less stressed about posting I think. This next chapter has a dose of Tessa/J content.

I Was going to write two chapters in between my main plot and my antagonist introduction. But now I think it might be three chapters if I can get this idea to come out right.

All right. This next murder drones fanfic chapter will introduce some antagonists. It was a pain to write but needed for my plot to happen. Chapter after is a focus on Tessa/J being as adorable as I can write them.

Relink Chapter 7

Huh. It has been a week since I last updated my fanfic. I was doing twice a week for a while. I might be able to still do twice a week with thsi next batch. Then I might miss a week or two again.

I realized in the next batch of chapters I'm working on there isn't enough Jessa so I whipped up a new chapter to focus on them. I'll release them after my next chapter so probably wensday for my next Jessa chapter. I seem to be updating sundays and wensdays depending how fast I'm currently writing.

So I adore EnVuzi, and I personally think that the relationship comes together through Uzi and her interactions with N and V, instead of through N and the interactions Uzi and V have with him/N and V's shared history. This is primarily because I think that V and N are working under two different assumptions on each other and that sets them on different pages. And I think that both of them dating Uzi separately can facilitate that - which furthers the overall trend of Uzi being a catalyst and important part of both of their character growths. Not that I don't think N and V have crushes on each other as it stands, I definitely do, but I think that V sees Manor N and N sees Disassembly Drone V - and neither of those really exist anymore. A lot of what V does is done to protect a version of N from the manor, and she never really let herself get close to the N now, whereas N's memories from the manor are either just recovering or non-existent and he only really knows Disassembly V.

N lost too many memories and is in the process of changing and recovering from a lot of self deprecation/esteem issues. And most of V's act as a disassembly drone is a front for her inner protectiveness, caring behavior, and trauma, which manifests as violence, uncaring attitudes, and distrust. (Not to say these are not things Manor V might have had or struggled with, but the extremes she has as a disassembly drone is certainly a front)

V's protectiveness, to the extremes that she sometimes doesn't consider how the people she wants to protect will feel about her actions, is a huge part of her character. She willingly sacrifices herself and lies to N for years but especially in the end arc, even when she had a good idea that it might not be Tessa. At this point after the finale, Uzi has proved that she is safe from the solver's influence, the biggest worry V has, and we can see this with the music video; V is happy leaning on Uzi and shows a casual level of affection toward her despite Cyn's presence in her tail.

And with Uzi's unwillingness to put up with what she sees as being coddled - which is a whole thing in itself - they would easily match each other as they will call each other out. It's easy to see them getting together on an equal footing, like she did with N, but N and V are still not on that footing yet. One thing that I think would be interesting to write/explore/see and that would show both V and N sides of the other that they might not have considered is how they react to Uzi's parents as Uzi's partners. We see that N desperately wants their approval and worries about it a lot, which makes sense as he tries to see the best in people as an optimist, and really wants to be liked. However V is super protective, and also friends with Lizzy, so I am sure that she might have seen the posters of Khan's statements, as well as her remembering the manor and how Tessa's parents acted.

I also feel like she would not like Nori, not necessarily because of anything she did, but because Nori doesn't like her and V reflects a lot of that energy back. However I feel she would hate Khan for his past words and abandonment, even if Uzi told her that it was fine and that she wanted a clean slate. And this is where the conflict comes in. I feel they would clash, as V wants to protect Uzi and doesn't get why N doesn't see that, while N wants to focus on how they are trying to do better and is nervous about their disapproval, not to mention Uzi's own wishes, and doesn't see why V is acting with such hostility.

Their differing viewpoint over this is actually a catalyst to their relationship. Talking to each other, maybe even if it get heated and linked back to their own history (N trying to get his point through and saying that V isn't listening and is doing exactly what she did with him), is actually good for them. It would show V that N lost a lot of his confidence and wants to be liked desperately, while still retaining that core of optimism and that he is getting back the confidence to stand up for his ideas while N sees that most of V's behavior is protectiveness and care buried under several layers of masking that stems from fear and lack of control.

It can actually help them show the differences between their perceptions and reality, and that allows them to get to a point where a relationship would be based on healthy feelings and not perceptions. This could also arise from discussions around bullying and classmates too, for another avenue of them having differing views on how to do things, or even how the colony treats them after the events of episode 8. N wanting people to accept and like them, while V focuses on protecting a small group of people she cares about and is fine being not liked outside that.

A long ramble, but I like diving into character's mindsets especially with these three.

I've got several of Tessa / J chapters planned around. And I have a few that focus almost entirely on Tessa. I'll need to come up with something J centric as she deserves it.
