I’m so proud of Irving.

He followed his gut. He had no fucks to give. He listened to his intuition, he knew that the Helly he cared about as part of his family would never be cruel to him about Burt, he did what had to be done. Not only did he realize Helly was her outie, but he also followed that to the logical conclusion that only an Eagan — an Eagan hidden to the innies, never spoken about in the Hall — could have such power, and he acted decisively to bring back his friend. We could see Irving the military man in his conviction, his investigation, his lethality — and Irving the friend with so much love in his heart, tenderly cradling Helly in his arms.

He knew he would never come back from this.

He made a sacrifice.
