He wishes he was not afraid, and yet every step in his path was something he truly feared. He knew fear did not define weakness but he had become to feel like a burden to those in his crew, and he did not wish to hold them back with his constant poor judgement and pessimism. He wanted things to be at peace, to no longer have to look over his shoulder in fear of what was to come. However, he was not naïve, nor did he expect such things to happen overnight. After Mount Weather, he knew there was no peace for him here , not anymore.

Wincing as he sat up in the bed, Jaspar sighed as he swung his legs over it to sit on the edge, wincing harshly as the pain coarse up his abdomen, hissing beneath his breath as he reached for the item of clothing and threw it over his torso. He was not going to be a burden, not anymore.
