i’d LOVE the catshot reading list. i am so ready to get on board here
Ok so for catshot in their interactions together it is INSANELY straightforward actually it's the easiest comic couple I've ever gotten into lol.
1. Villains United (2005)
This is six issues and an infinite crisis tie in. Don't be worried about missing context because of infinite crisis if you haven't read it, it's pretty self explanatory tbh.
This is another six issue miniseries. If you're anything like me, this one might make you question if it's worth it to keep going. Please. Push through. I promise this is the worst it gets and everything else is SO worth it. (It has its moments too tho it is still a fun comic)
3. Birds of Prey #104–107 and then #109
My beloved birds of prey crossover..... It's insane to me that they did this insanely important part of the secret six storyline in a crossover while they didn't even have an ongoing but it is what it is.
36 issues, super duper fun, where we get the bulk of their interactions.
5. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO READ SECRET SIX (2014). THIS IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO ME THAT IM ADDING IT AS A STEP ON THE READING LIST. YOU ARE GOING TO SKIP N52 SECRET SIX. IT IS USELESS. WE DON'T NEED IT. IT'S WORSE THAN USELESS ACTUALLY WE ACTIVELY NEED TO NOT READ IT. UNDERSTOOD? OKAY.
6. OPTIONAL: task force z can give you a little extra context for Floyd's choices in the next series, but he's not written very well in it. If you want the context of it for secret six 2025 you can literally send me an ask and I'll write a little summary of what I think is relevant this is a standing offer. Or you could read a summary somewhere that might be better. But still. (And if you decide to read task force z, know that the context for Floyd comes from suicide squad (2019) which is a fun comic but genuinely the most OOC I've ever seen Floyd written)
YOU ARE HERE. this is the hot tub scene comic. This series as a whole focuses a lot more on Jon, Jay, and Nia, and you'd definitely have a better time reading it if you had a good grasp on their characters, but you don't need that to understand what Floyd and Thomas are doing there.
