Maybe she would understand after all.. from what she said, it sounded like her parents weren’t very nice to her either. This, along with her words made him consider opening up, but was still very hesitant. He reached up to wipe away his tears and started to speak again. “I couldn’t escape mine.” That’s all he could really bring himself to say. No, instead he was trapped, mistreated and hated for years. Had everything he cared about or loved taken from him and destroyed. He still remembered the look of murderous rage on his fathers face when he’d catch him enjoying something, god forbid. Happiness was forbidden. Not just his own, but everyone else’s. Happiness be damned.

“it mighta taken longer for you, but... y’got away eventually!! And even if you had evil intentions, the Habitat ended up helpin’ a whole buncha people!! An’ now you’re tryin’ to better yourself.”
Putunia had had to do a lot of growing up quickly, and shows about heroes had helped - she’d had her character arc, and become the heroic hero we all know and love, but... Habit still had growing to do. Still had getting better to do.
