I had this solo harrie on my x timeline for so long, she think that Harry is part of LGBTQ+ community but she deny Larry with all her might. She basically ship him with a lot of random male who are around him, but hates the idea of Larry being togetherโฆ
I know that itโs the dumbest question ever but why do many harries accept the idea that Harry is part of the LGBTQ+ community but deny that there was/is something between H&L ? Why they canโt accept this?
Hi, darling. I answered a question similar to this the other day, here.
The bottom line is I think people like that want to put all of their fantasies into Harryโwhether itโs that he sleeps with women or that he sleeps with everyone or that he might sleep with them or that he is better than all the other former members of the band and therefore would never deign to be in a relationship with any of themโitโs all about the fanโs need to project and has very little to do with anything about Harry, himself.
Just saw this question and I want to add something about that because I think it's the most important dynamics into harry and louis' fandom
So here we are
The most important thing where I want to focus is:
if the fans (solo stans mainly) accepted the idea that Harry and Louis are in a romantic relationship then they would have to belive that both of them are in a long-term relationship and that they're not available for new relationship.
Many fans idealize their favorite artists and create an image of who they want them to be. In some cases, they imagine a personal connection with the artist and see the singer as "free" from real romantic ties. A stable relationship can shatter this ideal image and crash with the fantasies that some fans hold about him.
When a singer is single or appears "available" or have only casual relationship, a lot of fans unconsciously feel they might have a unrealistic chance of getting close to him. The start of a stable relationship ends this fantasy, creating a sense of detachment and exclusion. This mechanism pushes people to unconsciously reject the idea that the artist has a romantic life that doesnโt involve them.
Morever, many fans prefer to believe the news provided by the media that represent them and simply do not accept that there could be a side of them that they donโt know or that is hidden from them. Many fans are used to say "I know everything about H and Lโs lifes", but what do we really know? Nothing. However, many do not accept that they might have a private life completely different from the one they have idealized.
In summary, itโs often a combination of these factors that leads fans to react negatively toward Harry and Louisโ romantic relationships. In many cases, fans eventually accept the situation, but itโs a process that requires understanding and emotional maturity.
