So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

But I want him to be Deku's friend. I want him to be protective of little Izuku, who doesn't have a Quirk. I want them walking together from school and him being worried for Deku's poor broken bones.

I want him to never misunderstand Izuku's worried questions at the forest pond and take his hand.

GOOD OMENS is a the most beautiful fandom I've ever been in,

Because in this house everyone is a hard-core fan, even the writer and the actors themselves, don't even get me started about how Michael Sheen and Neil Gaiman have been lurking around twitter and tumblr to reply and share posts/theories and Michael reading one shots and fanfics + him and Neil Gaiman defending the fic writers. And there are no arguments over Aziraphel and Crowley being ineffable husbands whatsoever while we usually see ship wars in fandoms because everyone is just so peaceful and happy and supportive of each other here, its almost unreal and overwhelming!

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH, Good Omens is the only thing that makes me truly happy❤

This is actually a really good perspective and explains why the MCU is the way it is. It is essentially one-off entertainment without the backup of DVD sales (of course Disney being Disney it is still backed up by massive merchandise and spin off sales). The movie is designed to be “disposable”. The rewatch value is low because it’s not intended to be sold on DVD for people to treasure and rewatch every year at Christmas (or whenever) with family. The idea is to generate hype, through manufacturing controversy or teases or gossip. Keeping spoilers under wrap is integral because the rewatch value is negligible. It hinges on surprise or shock (or wtf value) to entice audiences to give up their money to see it in theatres. It is about spectacle, about being loud and colourful and busy, so that for the first 30 minutes after you walk out your senses are still buzzing and you feel like that was worth your $30 or however much. It takes a while for your brain to come back online after the sensory overload to then try to pick apart the plot, and by that stage it doesn’t matter, you’ve already hyped it up to your friends.

And the story or characterisation doesn’t matter because no one is watching that again to care.
