Bubble: I see you’re working on my cottage finally!!

Me: yeah well, I kinda have to at this point. All of your roommates are going to be here in a few days.

Bubble: ALL of my roommates?? So not only are you finishing my house to use as some kind of BJD AirBnB, but you’re telling me it’s for more than one other person??

Me: heh… try four.

Bubble: FOUR?! Are you all the way outside your mind?? Where are they going to FIT!? It’s a hecking COTTAGE not a compound!!…They are NOT sleeping in my bed. Please tell me you are making furniture for them.

Me: Bub, the house isn’t even put together yet, & they will not be staying with you forever… but I will do my best to at least create some furnishings for your new friends.

Bubble: They are NOT my friends.

I swear I might have actually posted some new art today

but my phone went & died before I saved- as would happen - so now it’s lost to the wild abyss of the voidverse ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pixel art is a cruel mistress as it is, but losing about an hour of tedious work is even more ridiculous. So ridiculous that I think I skipped the fury & devastation and have moved right to amusement & acceptance simply because that would happen during a first draft of my business logo. Shucks.

Pls note that the entire bed is empty except for my pile of crochet tops at the bottom, where he decided he must cuddle.

I’ve been a busy crochet bee! Focusing on fine-tuning & designing different crochet tops now, potentially to sell eventually.

We ended up having to make an emergency move during this last month, so the doll crafts have come to a screeching halt while they stay safe in boxes.

Crocheting has become a wonderful creative outlet for me during the stress of the move, & I must say I’m really proud of my progress.

I meant to do the lemon peel stitch like the one on the left that I just finished, & ofc I started doing HDC instead of DC because that’s the pattern I was using for the white tops’ straps before I fell asleep last night.

Muscle memory is dope but also sometimes a whoopsie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now that I’m figuring out the mechanics of crochet work in general, I’m doing some investigation on which stitches are yarn eaters, and which are more dense vs stretchy.

May I present to you Hemlocke. They are a sweet forest plant cryptid. who spends their days skipping and lurking and tending to the woods. The results of several tutorials, hours and hours of work and experimentation. This is my first attempt at a walk cycle and I wanted to make something a little goofy. I did the lighting on Hemlock using a normal map so they can be affected by varied or multiple lights.
