“Well you gotta crawl before you can walk so maybe go back a step?” Tina teases before giggling at her own shotty joke. “Maybe you will here, they sent them in anyways, didn’t they?”

Harry clenched his jaw through the animal’s scream. He hated it. He hated the very concept of this event. Killing animals for sport. His chest hurt for the poor animal. He felt wildly relieved as Tina blew it away rather than killing it. He nodded in agreement, looking around for any more spiders. He didn’t see any near them, so he figured they were safe for now. “That would be much preferred.”

“Maybe it’s just the spiders?” She hopped openly with a small shrug, biting her lip by the end of it. “Do we just ask for them to send it at us? Like a ‘show yourself thing?” The girl asked before looking straight up to literally shout ‘show yourself.’

“Willow,” He replied, vaguely remembering who that was. “I guess so. I’m sure they wan’t it to be interesting for the cameras, though,”

“Oh she’s fun.’ Tina comments in passing. “Yeah but like- either we’re talking or killing so either way they’re gonna edit it to make it nice for people.”

“I really didn’t want to have to do this!” Harry exclaimed out of breath, stabbing a spider through its torso as it approached him. “I hate this,” he muttered turning toward Tina, sweat beating on his forehead. “I really really hate this.” @haebtina-chai

Tina winced as he stabbed the spider, the small scream that left the animal hurt her. “Next one is on me.” She comments before a smaller one started at her and she lifted her hand to blow it away with high powered winds. “We need- uh- shit.” Her words left her as the 8-legged thing went flying away from her. “We need to figure out what we’re talking to or fighting to get us our of this room.” They’d be locked in to complete their task and so far it was only spiders. “I pray we’ve got a ghost”

“I mean, I doubt it’s fake, but you’re right, They are doing it to mess with us, so I doubt they’d really let anything seriously bad happen.”

“Who’s your teammate?” She asks curiously. “I mean, the fast we get to killing these things the faster they go away right?”

✴︎ — Ana looked around, “ okay, time to go become best friends with a ghost !! ” she grinned, bouncing as she stumbled over her feet, tumbling into the person in front of her. Standing up and holding out a hand to the person she’d just knocked off of their feet, she smiled apologetically. “ Sorry ‘bout that. You’d think I’d have learned to walk after being alive for 400 years. ”

With no warning, Tina was on her ass and a small ‘oof’ left her lips. “Oh gosh.” She finally said while taking the girls hand and standing up. “No problem, even for a dance I’m a klutz so if anyone gets you it’s me. I literally fell out of my champagne glass like 8 times, but..” She paused, looking around. “Were you talking about ghosts in here a second ago?”

“Interesting,” Hunter mumbled, leaning against a wall as everyone walked around and chatted about this event they had to deal with. Ghosts weren’t that big of a deal, but deadly creatures to fight off didn’t exactly sound like a fun time. He truly had to wonder how in all of his years he ended up here. Doing this. “So, you’re not scared, are you?” He said, asking the person that had approached him.

“Why would I be?” She asks while stopping in front of him. “I’m not too worried. They’re doing it to mess with us so.. you gotta think, it’s gotta be fake, right?”

“Who does not enjoy a little people watching and a strong drink?” she purred, bringing the glass to her crimson lips. Yes, she did want to find the other half of her pair, but she was realistic. It’d take time, and she was going to enjoy herself as much as she could. There was still a nagging voice telling her to prepare for the worst, but she was doing her best to ignore it. Might as well put the thought aside, only dealing with that when the time came, if it did.

Haebtina perked up at the mention of drinks. “Well I mean- I haven’t in a while. It’s been a bit, actually, I used to people watch hikers. You don’t normally have booze in the mountains.” The fae giggles before sitting next to the woman. “But I wouldn’t mind joining in.”

Sadie chuckled nervously seeing Tina react to being healed, “Yeah, it’s kind of a rush.”  She smiled at the other woman, “Nice to meet you too Tina.  And it’s no problem, really, little injuries like that don’t take much out of me.”

“Just a bit.” She notes as her focus gathers again, though it was never really there. “Well next time I’ve got you covered with healing winds.”

“No problem,” Sadie said, moving her hand along the other girl’s injured leg as her magic pulsed out, healing her, “Nothing wrong with being a klutz,” She giggled, “And my name is Sadie, but you can call me SJ if you like.”

The healing hit her like a pill and she shook her head trying to get back to reality. “Oh gosh!” She calls out while steadying her head again. “Nice to meet you SJ, I’m Haebtina, but you can call me Tina or just T. Either or really and ..thanks again.” Her eyes fell to her leg. “It already fells amazing.”

Tina wasn’t nervous, not even slightly. At least last time she went in with a crush, and if was wrong of course, but at least she went in with something.

“No hint for yours truly because I didn’t want to help anyone, even myself.” She shrugs. “I’m sure others hints will help narrow it down or something.” The fae waves it off

“I think Melody could be a friend by the end of this, since she wasn’t my pair or whatever.” A smile pulls at her lips. “But a friend for sure, and I think I’d be good in a horror movie with.. Wolf. I promised to watch his back anyways.” 

She hums for a moment in thought again. “And I think my pair could be Sadie because she’s adorable so why not?”

“Just a little bit,” she smirked. “Family money, it’s older than most of the people here,” she shrugged. “I mean– if that’s what you want to do.”

“How much is a little bit?” She asks casually, honestly curious however. “Oh- well I get that, I didn’t save as much over the years as I should have, but I made up in shows.”

“No problem!” Sadie chuckled, placing her free hand on the girl’s leg. “Just hold still and I’ll get you right.”

“Thank you.” Tina chirped out happily before leaning against the wall so the girl could literally work her magic. “I’m such a klutz. What’s your name even?”

“Of course not!” Sadie affirmed, holding a hand out to the other girl.  “Just guide my hand to where it feels like it’s hurt, and I’ll fix you right up.”

“Thanks.” Tina huffed out slightly while taking her hand to stabilize herself for a moment before she’d motioned to her shin and ankle. “I can’t dance on whatever happened to that”

“I swear I wasn’t trying to make you fall. It has been a while since I have used Ice Skates.” He said apologizing to someone he’d bumped into. Once the person seemed to be ok with his excused he returned to the ice rink. He had gotten distracted by the smell of a Fae in the area, but he wasn’t about to admit it.

Tina giggled watching the other run into the stranger. Once he returned to the rink she floated up beside him, pretending to skate, though she was just more so walking on air. Litereally going through the motions “What’s up with you, silly?”

“Well– I guess that could be arranged, money isn’t much of a problem with me,” she smirked. Preston was a name many knew, she came from old money but she really never bothered to share it. “What am I supposed to do with dirt? I’m not Jack Sparrow.”

“You rich or something?” She asks in a perky voice. “I mean, we can make dirt tornadoes..”

“So?” She pouted slightly. “I’m sure the people who pay to run the show have more than enough to fix any damages,” she grinned just a bit. “Dirt? That sounds boring.”

“Not if they make you pay for what you break..” She warns before giving a shrug. “The dirt can be fun”
