At last! Here is the 2nd Cap/Iron-Man RBB work I did, plus some close-up photos. I hate how washed out the scanner made the painting, but the photos weren’t coming out right. *sighs* Technical difficulties, what can you do.

To repeat: My amazing and indefatigable author for this one was Ellid, and I say that because she got into a major car accident, hurt her wrist and her neck, and then still managed to push her fic through. Genuinely v. wild and inspiring. Pls go look at her accompanying fic, which can be found here. It’s told in epic ode style, and it’s a really unique and fun read. I don’t know that I’ve ever really read a fanwork like it.

So here's the deal: my posting date is today, but my scanner is 100% rebelling against me. SO! Here is a sneak peek (aka a horrible close-up cell phone photo of Steve) and tomorrow I'm gonna take the train to Staples and pay to scan the whole painting I guess. T_____T; Working in trad art is much easier for me, but I hate the hurdles it makes me jump through, fr. I tried contacting the mods about it, but I haven't received a response, and I don't want to be hit with the ban hammer :(

Hello my lovelies! This is one of my art pieces for the Cap/Iron-Man 2019 RBB, which has been a fun, wild rollercoaster. I signed up for 3 Big Bangs at the same time this year, which was a dumb and bad choice, but hey. I finished it!

My author for this piece was Nigmuff, and you can find their story here. Nigmuff wrote a beautiful, desperately sad Tony as the prince in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. Steve, of course, is the eponymous swan. Please go and take a look at it! Nigmuff worked really hard, and they were a very dedicated author. They even watched the ballet after I told them I was inspired by it! Just make sure you’re equipped with tissues, because it is like mainlining pure angst. (Of course, that is exactly what some of us are looking for... >___>;)

#I really want to take a second to praise David for his acting here #because all you need to do is look at his face and you can see that everything is absolutely horribly wrong #and the most terrible part is how subtle it is #he doesn’t look outright panicked or distraught #he looks passive #and that’s the worst expression the doctor can have #because at least when there’s fear or desperation you know he doesn’t want to give up #you know he’s going to fight and he’s going to keep trying #but this is resignation #pure resignation #he realizes exactly what’s happened and what has to happen and how much it is going to tear him apart #and that face says there is no other option #all he can do is let it happen #it burns him alive but he can’t show it #he knows he can’t because it’s going to be hard enough for her #and he needs to be strong here #he needs to shut down and be as cold and detached as he can get #because it’s better than letting the pain in #it’s better than showing her exactly how much this is going to kill him #because that will only make it worse #that face says more in its subtleties than it ever could in outright expression #bravo David #truly

A Mom went to have dinner with her son who lives with his roommate. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn’t help but notice how handsome his roommate was. She had been suspicious about her sons sexuality but being a good mother she felt that he would let her know if and when the time was right but seeing the two together just made her more curious. Over the course of the evening, while watching the interaction between the two she wondered even more if there was more here than meets the eye. Her son, sensing his mothers watchfully eye volunteered, “really Mom, I can tell what you’re thinking and you can just get it out of your mind, we are just roommates and nothing more”. About a week later the roommate remarked, “ever since your mother was here the silver serving platter has been missing, do you think she took it?” He responded, “Well I’m sure she didn’t but I will email her and ask just to be sure” he sat down and wrote: Hey Mom I’m not saying you did take the silver platter from the house and I am not saying you didn’t take it but the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner. Love, Your Son. A couple days later he got a response from his mother: Dear Son, I am not saying that you do sleep with your roommate and I am not saying that you don’t sleep with him and you know I love you and could care less either way but the fact remains that if he was sleeping in his own bed he would have found the platter under his pillow. When are the two of you coming for dinner? Love, Mom
