Syrax got a little name plate in House Targaryen colors for her tank. She also got a much bigger litter pan in the most hidden foliaged corner of her tank (yes, my tiny dinosaur is litter box trained) that I can put paper towels on so it should be easier to clean.
It’s my leopard gecko, Syrax, of course. I’ve now had her a month and she is awesome.
I got her a dig box with substrate so she can dig for enrichment as I don’t want to have a tank with loose substrate over the entire thing.
My last day of work for the year is next week. Half of the autumn project is done (half the fencing for the pony is up) and I’ve started dabbling with my sims again.
For the first time in quite a while, I've had a very very very strong urge to do some writing. Even started poking around my SimLit Wordpress again. I have IDEAS!!
My second baby hors from Legend of Khiimori which is about a 13th C. courier rider out on the Mongolian steppes (basically it's RDR2 without the guns and gangs). I wuvs her.
I just backed the kickstarter for the tabletop RPG for one of my favorite book series. Love love love the Temeraire books. It’s the Napoleonic Wars. WITH DRAGONS! 🐉 Probably won’t ever use the dice (but I went for the deluxe pledge and get the fancy metal ones with Temeraire in relief on them) but the art work will be pretty and the map of GB and Europe at the time. The core book and the companion book (which will have the Incan dragons) are really what I’m after because I love any Temeraire lore. Volly and Izkierka are my favorite dragons, although the short story in The Golden Age about Elizabeth Benet (yes, THAT Elizabeth) and her dragon meeting Mr Darcy is a lovely little piece.
So I usually have my laptop with me during the day at work. I think I need to reinstall the Sims 4 on it so I can poke at some sims during downtime.
It’s gonna have to be mostly mod-less. The whole reason why I moved all my files to my desktop PC was mostly space because my laptop is like 8 years old which is practically in the grave for a Mac. And also, I probably shouldn’t have the mosaic censor turned off while at work, LOL.
To paraphrase Effie Trinket “may the odds ever be in my favor”
Dang blast it! Every time I think I'm out, The Sims dangles a pack and asks "please sir or madam truly your forgiveness I implore, would you like some more?"
Pour one out for the person at EA who suggested 'modern monarchy' as an EP theme, not realising they were about to get bought by the Saudi Crown Prince's vanity project fund.

A new home for Queen Petra and her family. It's an Early Civilization castle for your royal sim, inspired by real Ancient Greek castles.
This lot is largely inspired by the Mycenaean Palace of Nestor, described in Homer's Odyssey, the ruins of which can still be visited outside Pylos, Greece. Petra's Palace is not a historically accurate representation, but has elements that will be recognizable to history buffs.
However, some parts are obviously not historically correct, like when I've used glass roofs a couple of places on the top floor instead of keeping it open (as it was in reality). This because of the in-game lighting and for practical reasons.
Even though this is a very large house, it's fully playable, but I must issue a little warning: this is a huge lot with many details, a lot of cc, debug and moo placements. If your hardware is on the lower end, you probably shouldn't have this lot in your game, at least not as a furnished lot. That said, it works fine in my game, and I haven't experienced any lags or other problems with it.

Packs and cc
I've used a lot of cc and many packs for this build. As always, you don't need all items or packs to download, but you must be prepared to do some editing if you don't have them, because of missing items. The most important packs for this lot are: For Rent, Horse Ranch, High School Years, Jungle Adventure and Courtyard Oasis.
Not all cc is included in the download! A list (PDF) with details and links for all cc used is included. I always try to follow the creator's TOU, however, if you have problems finding working links to any of the cc listed, please contact me, maybe I can help.
Some cc have not even been published before, and needs a little explanation:
💝 With kind permission from Philo, I've mirrored two swatches in Minos Deco Stickers and added them as new swatches. Please download the set from Philo (at the moment hosted on TSR), then replace the Stickers package with THIS ONE.
💝 My friend @mrsracooney made a wonderful mural inspired by my story characters. It was recently published, but I think it deserves a special mention anyway. (mesh from Martine needed)
💝A fellow historical creator, now retired, Gloomytrait once shared with me some colorized statues of @thejim07 's Hebe and Minerva. I think they are beautiful, and much to good not to be shared, so I asked TheJim007 for his permission, which he kindly gave (mesh/original needed)
💝I did a quick recolor for another project of the ArcaneIllusions Alchemy Lab manuscript v03 by @irinaseverinka to make it more Early Civ looking (the devil is in the details...). It's not something that deserves a post of it's own, but thanks to Severinkas generous TOU, I can share it freely. (It will need the mesh)
Still alive. Haven’t updated my Sims 4 game yet, been super busy with work as we gear up for finals week and the Annual Fall Pony Project is in full swing (last year was a shed roof, this year it’s fence repair). Things should start to slow down when the community college I work at goes on winter holiday in about 2.5 weeks.
In the meantime, meet my new roommate, Syrax the leopard gecko. She’s awesomesauce.
Playing vanilla with minimal mods. Drawback of that is when the horse comes in the house. I suppose in Flapjack's defense, it's starting to snow. "If you're cold, they're cold ... bring them inside" (which of course isn't true for horses, but I digress).
Is it wrong of me to want to buy the new EP for the handshake? 😂🤣
That being said, I saw a hairstyle I liked, the new world is really nice and looks to have lotsa nature (perfect for my historical saves) and archery ... lesssss goooooooo!!! 🏹🎯
I think I finally have an idea for a @greatbritishsimchallenge save. Which means Henford-on-Bagley for the most part, and even though it's supposedly the Cotswolds and nowhere near Salisbury, I needed a Stonehenge. And while 40-some odd miles might separate them, I absolutely need the Uffington Horse too.
Feelin' like Frodo did after his finger, the One Ring and Gollum ended up in the fires of Mount Doom. Finally, the burden is over! My mods have all been sorted, and filed properly so I can just switch folders depending on the save.
