Ā Ā Ā She laughed at the last message. It was really cute how easy it was for him to poke fun at Yato. It was easy for Takako to poke fun at Tomoyo, but there was a difference between how they teased their friends. Figuring it would be best to leave it at that, she stashed her phone away into her bag and made final checks. Coat? Check. Memorial tablet? Check. Bag? Check. Actually having her wallet in her bag? Check. Though she was good with the cold, it didnāt hurt to be too careful, and so she grabbed her scarf as she made her to the door and wrapped it quickly around her neck so that it was nice and snug.
Ā Ā āIāll be back later!ā She could hear her parents scuffle about from another room, her father probably in a hurry to find out where she was headed, and her mother probably stopped him as she bid her farewell after popping her head out in the doorway with a small wave. It was the usual with her parents. With a big smile on her face, she departed, ready to take the bus as well to the mall. Walking wouldnāt be too much of a problem, but she didnāt want to risk being slower and arriving late.
Ā Ā Though it did take a little bit of time regardless, the moment she started walking close to the mall, the thought came to mind that she should probably call Yukine to have an idea of where he was, or if he was already here and waiting for her. As expected, the area was bustling with people ready to go down their Christmas shopping lists. As she made her way to a wall, she took her phone back out and quickly dialed the number, waiting as it rung. When he failed to answer, however, it puzzled Takako. Maybe he didnāt hear it? She could call again, leaning against the wall while contemplating this, but decided against it. Patience was important. At least by staying out in the front, he could see her if she had been the first to arrive.
Ā Ā Minutes flew by just as quickly as the crowds that passed her by, but once she looked up, she could see a familiar figure not too far away from her. āYukine-kun! Over here!ā She raised an arm to wave him over, but walked over to him instead, mostly to meet him halfway. āI tried calling to see where you were, but you didnāt answer, so I thought waiting out front would be best.ā

A MINUTE OFĀ carefully scanning the crowds later, Yukineās gaze fell onto the familiar head of dark hair. āAh--! Hey!ā Sheād found him first, it looks like. Meeting up with her, he was able to hear what she said to him over the bustling traffic and voices of shoppers.
āHah, u-um, well,ā he laughed,Ā āI didnāt ask if I could borrow the phone. I probably should have! Sorry about that.ā He apologized. Yato still stood by his thoughts that he was too young for a cellphone, so he could only borrow Yatoās in times of actually needing to use one.
āShould we head inside? Itās pretty cold out here.ā So he said, but he was the one who hadnāt bothered to zip or button up his parka. But chances were, it was way warmer than standing out here.Ā āI think I may get Yato a coat while weāre here...ā That thin jersey would do a pretty poor job of keeping the deity warm when the temperatures dropped in the coming months.
That and like, heād heard that it was going to be a pretty cold winter.
