Could I please get some positivity for women who grow hair in places not included in a lot of body hair acceptance posts? Chest hair, belly hair, back hair, chin hair, things like that. I want to feel ok with it because removing it can be such a pain but I’m still so self-conscious. Thank you for making this blog ❤️❤️❤️

Hi! Just a hairy sapphic here to say loving yourself is a process! I still haven't gotten to the point I want to yet, but yesterday I was able to wear shorts with trimmed (but still kind of noticeable) leg hair and I didn't even think about it while I was in public. A year ago I would've been mortified. I hope I can get comfortable going out with completely unshaved legs some day, but for now I'm proud of the progress I've made. Gender can be a touchy topic. Ever since chopping off my hair I’ve been asked multiple times “when I’m transitioning”. I’m 100% confident in my identity as a masculine female. Hell, cutting my hair short, almost makes me feel even MORE female.

A big ambition of the LGBTQ+ community is to eradicate gender roles. My confusion lies in the fact that since I cut my hair, which enhances my masculinity, the only reasonable explanation must be that I am transitioning. However, it is perfectly okay for me to be a masculine female, just as it is to be a feminine male. It is also okay that I desire to look more like a man, without wanting to identify as one. I love having female body parts - yeah, I wish I had smaller boobs and narrower hips, but for me that’s just for aesthetics.

I feel as though we as a community have lost touch with those of us who fall in between the lines, and not even to the point of identifying as non-binary. Some of us may never find a label that fits us perfectly, and that’s fine, we’re all just somewhere on a spectrum. Someone’s identity should never be assumed or questioned - and it is entirely up to them to decide who they want to be. I’ve never felt more happy with myself as I have since cutting off my hair. Hopefully some of you can relate to this message and I’m always open to discussion in the comments.

theres so much value in finding a label that fits you but sometimes i feel like misleading amount of emphasis on it. you should focus and do what makes you happy and comfortable, and discover what you want, before worrying about putting a name to it. and i say this as someone who desperately wants some sort of label for myself. but what im trying to say is you dont need a label in order to do something! if youre a woman wanting to have relationships with women, go find some gals! then worry about whether youre gay or bi or what. theres some taboo around “experimenting” but theres honestly nothing wrong with experimenting in a healthy way. this is especially true with gender shit. you dont need to decide if youre trans or not in order to change your name, try different pronouns, and dress differently! you dont need to know if youre a trans man or not to start binding or cut your hair or taking any steps towards transitioning

this is me rambling but hell you dont ever need to know your sexuality or gender to do stuff, just do whats making you happy n call it a day. labels are great but dont get too caught up in them if its giving you anxiety and stopping you from taking steps n doing things that make u happier and healthier

 Okay this is for all my fellow trans women out there who happen to still suffer from the problem of having a five o’clock shadow, who want to hide it with minimal make up.

Okay so you pretty much only need two things. Well, three if you count the brushes.

But make up wise, all you need is, a liquid foundation slightly paler then your own skin, and blush.

And then basically all you have to do, you put the foundation on over your whole face, then instead of only putting the blush on certain areas, cover your whole face with it.

The result will be a natural skin tone that no one will be able to tell is make up without looking at you up close, that will completely hide the stupid five o’clock shadow. :D

help a black trans girl survive w/o help from her bullshit dad

hi im sugar and i made a post prior to this about my situation. Long story short, my dad (a black man) finally had his long-awaited mixed baby casey (here she is my lil sis 💕)

and has decided that he longer wants to talk to, support or acknowledge me (his fully black, dark skinned, trans daughter) and refuses to help me and my mother pay for college. and ive always noticed that he was off about me, that he was kinda distant and deeply and vocally dissatisfied w me as a whole but who woulda thought huh lmao.

You’re pretty if you have a lot of armpit hair, or chest hair, or hair legs and toes. You’re pretty if you have hairy knuckled and arms, and you’re pretty if you have a beard or a mustache. You’re pretty if you try and control all of it, and you’re pretty if you can’t.

your body is your body, and if you don’t love it now, that’s ok.

you do what you need to love your body. exercise or don’t, stare in mirrors or don’t. shave or don’t. just unapologetically work towards loving yourself.

and if you want to get surgeries done, for whatever reason, then who cares. it’s your body, and if it takes a surgery to love it, then that’s ok.

if you can get to the point where you can be happy with your body, that’s all that matters.

for some people it’ll only take a few months, other it can take years. your body is only holding you, it’s not your life force. you are so much more than skin and bones, and once you realize that, then it’s a lot easier to love your body, to love yourself.
