What the heck is your username?
Hajihoku is a rarepair ship from ensemble stars (of Hajime Shino and Hokuto Hidaka) that I am obsessed with and kind of pioneered. I have written all but one of the fics for them on ao3, and have at least a dozen more in my wips. I draw them a lot too!
That âcomment on your a03 workâ email hits like a line of cocaine every time. unmatched dopamine increase. shoutout to everyone who leaves a comment on fics. you deserve the world
Iâm not sure if this will be helpful to anyone, but you literally do not have to be a good writer to write and post fan fiction. Yes you will naturally get better at writing and finding your voice the more you do it but you do not have to be or become a professional level writer to enjoy writing and sharing fics. Itâs common to hear people praise fic writers by saying their work is better than published books, and while I think this comes from a good place, thatâs not the norm or expectation. There is also a sentiment that fic writing is âgood practiceâ for becoming a better writer or doing something else later, but if fic is the only creative writing you ever do that is literally okay. Your technical skill does not mean you cannot have fun and build community with your writing, or that other people cannot love and find meaning in your work.
Special for Princess! VS Ra*bits - Henoheno - Chapter 2
Characters: Hajime, Tomoya, Mitsuru, Nazuna
Translation: Sleepy
[ âȘ ]
Time: Later that night
Location: A luxury hotel in Hawaii
Mitsuru: Phew⊠Iâm stuffed! Getting to eat all that yummy food was pure blissâŠâȘ
Hajime: Fufu, this hotel has some really delicious food, so much so I mightâve eaten too much.Â
But itâs surprising, I didnât realize that we had so many different Hawaiian foods in Japan. Like Loco Moco.
Tomoya: Youâre right. You see Loco Moco so often around Japan that itâs easy to forget it's originally from Hawaii.Â
It was my first time trying Lau Lau too, but it was just as good~Â
Nazuna: Ahaha! You guys sure are having your fill of Hawaii, arenâtcha~Â
Iâd like to sit back and relax a little myself, but itâs about time we shift gears.Â
Mitsuru: Absolutely! Weâve only got one day of fun in Hawaii, right? I remember, donât you worry!Â
And starting tomorrow weâll make sure to give it our all at MMâŠ!Â
Hajime: Right! Although I would've liked to enjoy Hawaii a little bit moreâŠÂ
Next time though, on my own time. Itâd be nice if we could all come back and have fun together.Â
Tomoya: I agree. One day just didnât feel like enough time to experience all Hawaii has to offerâŠ
Wait, weâre getting off topic again. Pause, pause, weâre shutting this conversation down!Â
âStarting tomorrow,â if you let yourself think of it like that, then youâll just be stuck in vacation-mode forever.Â
In favor of switching up our mindset, letâs go ahead and make a gameplan for tomorrow!Â
Nazuna: Well said. What do you think we should do for the world tour, Tomo-chin?Â
Tomoya: Let me think⊠Well, for starters, it would probably be a good idea to work towards helping people abroad get to know Ra*bits.Â
Mitsuru: âGet to know usâ, whyâŠ?Â
Tomoya: I mean, weâve never really faced the global market head-on like this before, have we? So I bet thereâs probably not a lot of people out there who know about Ra*bits.Â
Nazuna: Overseas in particular, itâs safe to say that we have about the same amount of notoriety as Spri does.Â
Not only that, but I wouldnât be surprised if they were more well known than us.
Mitsuru: Eh, really!?Â
Nazuna: Spri did play a pretty big role on the Mega Stream, yâknow~Â
Hajime: Esu-kun and Raika-kun, Yume-kun as wellâthey were all chosen for the Selected Six of Song, werenât they?Â
Compared to us, Ni~chan was the only one who made it.
Mitsuru: Youâre right about that! Uu, it makes me really frustrated now that you mention it!Â
Tomoya: I feel the same way. Hard to believe weâre losing out in the trends to our juniors who barely just debuted.Â
Nazuna: Thatâs right. Itâs precisely because theyâre freshly debuted rookies that we canât let down our guard.Â
Hajime: âŠâLet down our guard.â Youâre right, I might've done that without noticingâŠÂ
Thank you so much, Ni~chan! I was finally able to get my feelings in order thanks to you!Â
Letâs show them what weâre made of during our match! We absolutely canât afford to lose!Â
Nazuna: âŠ? Ah, uh, yeah. I guess so?Â
Hajime: This time for sure, I wonât allow him to look down on any of us. Letâs take home the win, so heâll have no choice but to acknowledge him!Â
Tomoya-kun isnât ordinary in the slightest! Heâs actually really, really cool!Â
Nazuna: Whatâs with the sudden switchup in priorities, Hajime-chin!?Â
Hajime: EhâŠ? Um, did I say something weird?Â
Nazuna: No, well, you switched to talking about Tomo-chin halfway through, didnât you?Â
Hajime: Eh? Ah⊠Just asking, but did I say that part out loud?Â
Nazuna: Yup. It was actually kind of out of character for you, Hajime-chin. You put a lot of power behind it.Â
Mitsuru: The whole bit about admitting how cool Tomo-chan is, whatâs that about? Did someone say something to you?Â
Tomoya: No clueâŠ? Did someone say something to meâŠ?Â
Hajime: No way! Did you really forget, Tomoya-kun? About what Yume-kun said to you!Â
He called you âThe One with the Ordinary Face,â âthat incredibly rude thing, remember!?Â
Tomoya: Ah~ youâre right, he did call me that didnât heâŠÂ
But didnât that happen ages ago? I donât really mind it that much now. It is the truth, after all.Â
Hajime: It is not true whatsoever! Youâre the absolute coolest, Tomoya-kun!Â
Not now, and not back then eitherâI still havenât forgiven him in the slightest!Â
Tomoya: So thatâs what it was? Thanks, Hajime. I mean, for getting angry for my sake.Â
Even so, I donât think you have to go as far as picking a fight over it.Â
Hajime: âŠI know this might just be me caring too much, I understand that.Â
But whenever I see Yume-kun I canât help but worry about a whole slew of things.Â
It was one thing for him to be incredibly rude to you, Tomoya-kun. But you can also see it in his behavior during the Mega Stream.Â
Selfish, unreasonable, always has to have things his way, causing nothing but trouble for the people around him. Â
After seeing all of those sides of him, I guess Iâm a little put off by him altogether.
Tomoya: Ah~... I see, so thatâs the reasonâŠÂ
Mitsuru: Yup, yup! I totally get you, Hajime-chan!Â
When someone I donât like says something, it gets stuck in my head for some reason and leaves an awful taste in my mouth.Â
Nazuna: Well, yeah. And then those feelings of contempt just keep piling on top of each other.Â
But I'm surprised. I never thought you of all people would say that youâre put off by someone.Â
Hajime: âŠThatâs because I try to keep my distance as soon as I realize I wonât be able to get along with someone.Â
If I donât, I feel like I might just turn into a nasty person myselfâŠÂ
But I know I canât keep avoiding him forever.Â
Yume-kun⊠No, I have no other choice but to face all of Spri head-on during our match.Â
I have to, so I can get rid of all of these pent up feelings. Iâll fight fair and square!Â
Nazuna: Ahaha, I can already feel your personal grudge flowing outâŠÂ
Well, aside from that, at least your drive to win hasnât changed.
Tomoya: I donât like being talked down to either. Iâll make sure to show Yume just who it is heâs up against during our match.Â
Youâll feel better if I do that, right, Hajime?Â
Hajime: Of course! But even if you donât, I want you to know you've always been the absolute coolest to me, Tomoya-kun!Â
Tomoya: Ahaha⊠In any case, like I mentioned earlier, weâre going to put our game plan in motion tomorrow.Â
To reiterate, weâre going to work towards getting the people of the world to acknowledge Ra*bits.Â
Mitsuru: About that, whatâs our plan exactly? Streaming again?Â
Tomoya: Yeah. I think thatâd be the best way to help people get to know us.Â
It might even be a good idea to do a livestream where we introduce ourselves in English.
Anyway, the main goal is for us to create as many chances as possible so people can come to know us.
Nazuna: Sounds good to me. Another thing, I want us to try winning votes in Hawaii too if we can.Â
Itâs going to be broadcasted all over the world, that much is true. But one downside is itâll only draw in viewers who are already invested in the first place.Â
Tomoya: In that case, letâs do something proactive in addition to our MM showdown, like a mini-live!Â
Maybe if we pass out flyers for it, itâd help get our name out there for the people who knew nothing about us from the start.Â
Hajime: Fufu, that kind of reminds me of when we used to pass out flyers at YumenosakiâȘ
Nazuna: Youâre right, and that was back when nobody knew anything about Ra*bits at all.Â
Mitsuru: Mhm! Thatâs why we tried everything we could to help people get to know all about us!
Tomoya: I guess this means weâre going back to square one. Our situation is basically the same as it was back then.Â
Taking one earnest step at a time, tackling any problem that comes our wayâthatâs the best shortcut there is.Â
Alright, now that thatâs been decided, letâs hop right into our intro stream!Â
