A Stroll Through The Night || Braley
The past few months, Rosewood had felt nothing like home to the youngest Hutchins brother. Not knowing the cause of it, and not knowing how to fix it.. he tried to avoid the feeling by not being there. Lately, Braden spent most of his time running back and forth from Pennsylvania to Florida every few weeks, pissing off his brother every time that he did it. Upon returning back home for the third time in the past month, William had also returned to the home that he raised Braden in, and Paige Royal had found herself a boyfriend. Not being too bummed out about the whole girl issue, mostly because Paige was far from his type and too dramatic for his taste, Braden was still positive towards things. The past week, he enjoyed sharing his positive outlook with the look a like of Paige, but someone who had much more going for herself than Paige ever would.. her twin sister named Haley.Â
Speeding out of his bedroom and rushing down the hallway while making a quick turn so he could slide his tush down the stair’s banister, Braden was a little too excited for the night he head ahead of him. Grabbing his keys and the hoodie he always wore when going out for a quick jog, the boy screamed out to his brother that he was leaving as he passed the garage. Hopping into his rusted up Jeep, the werewolf started to pull his car out of the driveway, heading straight towards the Royal residence. Haley and him had grown close to each other in the past week, whether that was a good thing or not. In Braden’s defense, he had a good heart.. full of good intentions.. which is why he was up for the late night walk through the woods. Pulling up to the house, Braden got out of his car and made his way up the front lawn, leading him straight to the door. Raising his right fist, he let a soft knock hit the door, hoping that he wouldn’t wake up Addison if she had decided to stay in for the night. Sticking his hands in his back pockets, he stood there with a smile on his face while he waited for Haley to answer the door.
It had been a week exactly that Haley was living in Rosewood and she couldn't have felt more alone if she tried. Things didn't start off so well. She came to town to meet her twin sister, Paige, who had no idea that she even existed and they got off to a rough start to say the least. She even felt like leaving at one point but she didn't. Addison would have probably killed her and she couldn't leave now. Not when she had came from California all the way to Rosewood to get to know her sister and actually be a family. She didn't come all the way for nothing just to quit, right? Haley wasn't a quitter and she couldn't start doing it now. Even if things weren't easy for her. Things were starting to look up for her when she met this really nice guy that she seemed to have almost everything in common with, Braden. He made her smile a lot and probably the most since she had gotten to Rosewood. It was nice to actually make a friend that didn't hate you like everyone else seemed to and someone that gave you the benefit of the doubt. Haley could see that Braden had a good heart and he was defintely someone she could end up leaning on, depending on, and seeing as her friend.
But just when Haley thought things were actually working out, she had spoken too soon. Paige had moved out to be with her boyfriend and Addison wasn't there most nights so she ended up staying at the house alone. She understood her sister had her own life, her own friends, a job, a boyfriend that she loved but apart of her couldn't help but be upset by it. She wanted to spend some time with Paige, go shopping with her, get to know her and all that stuff sisters do together. What did she expect? That her sister would just drop everything for someone that was pratically a stranger to her? Haley had to be smarter than that. She had to give her more time and be patient and just hope that she'd come around. Sitting on Paige's bed, well more like her bed now, she thought about the night she was about to happy. She was really happy to be honest. Braden was coming to pick her up to go for a walk in the woods, just the two of them. Haley was a bit nervous but she had no right to be, right? He was just her friend and they would be going for a walk. That would be it. So why was she feeling so nervous? She removed all those thoughts away and began to get ready. Her sister had left her some clothes and she had amazing taste. Hearing the knock at the door she quickly grabbed her purse and made her way down the stairs but before answering it, she looked at herself in the mirror and fixed her hair a little bit tieing it up into a ponytail. Finally she turned the knob and smile once she saw him on the other side. "Hey", she said with her smile still plastered across her face.
