Hello! I saw some of your headcanon posts about Murder Drones in the main tag and since you allow asks I wanted to ask about your take on this scenario.
How do you think Uzi (And/or N and V via extension) would react to a normal everyday Worker Drone just facing them and going off on a (probably very emotional) rant against them since one of them killed one of their friends/family/significant other post-series? Like, let's say Rebecca, Emily or basically any WD that died in Episodes 1 and 4 and now they have to face the relatives of said drone about what they did. I am asking because I'm currently making a fanfic based on that with a OC Worker Drone protagonist in that same scenario with the canon main cast and I'd like to see what people think of that idea.
Oh hehehe I'm absolutely willing to yap about things :3
Uzi would definitely be awkward about it if the truth about her specific kills got out. Especially because she genuinely couldn't control herself for those. It's something that already eats her up, she doesn't actually like killing. She wouldn't move away from them or deny it, just taking the emotional rant and not being able to do much. Definitely ends up disassociating a bit too. Just kinda horrified that everyone knows. (Though with V willingly taking the blame, and Lizzy being the only other person alive who knows it was Uzi, this doesn't seem likely to happen.)
Uzi would, however, be on N and V's side if someone's yelling at her about them. Like, seriously they didn't want this! They were manipulated to hell and back. Not even death would've gotten Cyn to leave them alone, constant memory resets if they acted too far out of line, possibly more if they ever befriended other Workers, they were forcibly changed against their wills! She wouldn't just let this all out without permission, but "Hey imagine if Robo-Satan who eats planets for fun wouldn't let death be the end for you, and MADE you kill people." is pretty effective in her mind. They were in a horrible situation on purpose to "make them more efficient" even though Cyn could've just finished her plans literally day 1 by just showing up.
N would be so apologetic. He's got the most guilt for killing Workers piling on his shoulders long before the end of the series. The entire situation eats him up inside already, and his only real defense is just... his own survival. He'd take the brunt of anything sent his way, apologizing profusely, and generally just... reverting a bit to his pilot self— being willing to take a hit or three if it means they feel better.
V.... She's harder to pin down because she's not just gonna take it, but she's also not just gonna say her true emotions on it. Because.... She kinda doesn't really feel bad? It's not like she's proud of it, but her life was so far out of her control back then that it doesn't feel like her entirely, thinking to back then just feels empty. It would *really* depend on WHO is ranting to her about this. Someone she doesn't know and doesn't talk to? Whatever. But she definitely would build a bond with a few Drones eventually, and oooh man if any of them or anyone important to them did this, then she'd feel awful. She only "willingly" started to lose her mind to the violence because she was promised that doing her job would keep N safe. All she ever wanted was for her loved ones to be safe, even if they hated her for it. Finding out she's the reason they hurt, and they still don't hate her... That would burn worse than overheating in the sun.
And basically any combination would have whoever's being yelled at being defended by the one not getting yelled at. They're all still very protective of each other, and depending on how bad it gets, they'll physically step in.
