So I started roleplaying in a Beforus sgrub session as Cronus, and this is what I figure he’d look like starting their session.

So yeah before he died and learned about humans he was just a 6 sweep old dork who loved magic and needed others’ approval. Suffice to say it didn’t work out.

I didn't know you liked Eridan too!!! I'm still salty over the fact he got like... one second of a flash worth's of redemption. And cronus is such a dark character too. Why can't they just achieve happiness whyyyyy

God for real tho, I love both of my ugly fish sons with all of my heart honestly BECAUSE they’re both so terrible. Eridan kind of less so, in my opinion, and I think most of that is because of self-projecting. As a teen I saw a lot of my own emotional turmoil reflected in Eridan floundering with his relationships. But he at least showed, like, some genuine care for his friends even when he would say some of the most vitriolic garbage (again imo). But he’s young and unmistakably selfish (shellfish if you will, bc i will thanx), and read to me like someone depressed with a lot of needless defenses and a lot of cowardice that, had things gone a lot differently from the very start, he wouldn’t have ended up a dick face and filleted, and that’s a tall order. I can really get into it about Eridan, but it’s all conjecture aint anybody wantin to hear. I wanted the world for Eri.

Cronus, on the other hand, is just a downright douchebag that I choose to read as a brash boy who do mean thing but am rly a soft baby on the inside because I live my life for romance and happiness. I basically pretend Cronus is an entirely different character every day of my life. I could probably maybe cook up a defense for him but tbh this Ampora doesn’t deserve it and doesnt get a pass. Get him outta here. F– a new record in low grades. Fuck Cro, I love him and feel bad for him genuinely.

I’m maybe a little peeved that, like, at least Eridan didn’t get something like growth or a happy little resolution in some minor way, I guess Erisol was… somethin, and that’s all really just because I like him. I wanted to see more of him and was kind of genuinely interested in his development as a character, but it was just never meant to be.
