Sean Combs & Mayor Adam’s…9/11

The hot topic is Sean Combs and Mayor Adam’s indictment in all forms of media, more so than “World War lll,”not the numerous war crimes other countries are committing and have committed including this one(USA). Also, the war against humanity in this country regarding the ingredients in our food compared to other countries for the same item, so if it’s happening there you already know and have seen it’s happening in our medicine…FDA. At the end of the day everyone deserves a fair hearing, a fair trial, justice, despite public opinion but that’s not always guaranteed…Central Park Five and countless others including my enslaved ancestors but we’re told to forget about that…Never forget 9/11.

Let’s NOT be ignorant! I on the other hand will NEVER forget either.

We are aware of the disturbing video of Cassie but Combs is not being indicted for that and we are aware of the trips to Turkey regarding Mayor Adam’s. The continued focus for Combs at this time is sexual exploits and money grabs/law suits more so than the evidence of his indictment. Similarly, Mayor Adam’s seat on an airplane and what hotel room he had. Granted there are witness testimonials for both parties but even that has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Time will tell, truth will prevail….May be. When the entire world shifts focus on “whats to come” then and only then will the truth be exposed, what truth you wonder, you’ll have to wait and see….When everyone sees there will be no denial and everyone will know exactly what I am talking about…Unprecedented.

Rikers Island

There are continuous reports of fatality and abuse etc. at Rikers Island, we all know that there is more unreported. Where’s there’s smoke there is fire! The solution is to close the prison and create new ones, since that is the solution then every prison would need to be closed.

The unfortunate reality is that people are buying into the “solution.” What do you think is the solution?

It is extremely unfortunate what these brothers had to go through, endure, down right disgusting. I remember there used to be a docu-series titled Exonerated hosted by Morris Chestnut; however, it didn’t survive another season on BET. I thought it was educational and thought provoking but it wasn’t given another chance due to ratings. Seinfeld wasn’t doing well with ratings but it got chance after chance until it caught on, isn’t that something! Need I say more.

Change

Change can be very challenging, especially if one wants to lose weight, almost at every turn you smell something tasty that you know you shouldn’t have. Then there’s the people around you that are still eating unhealthy, and sometimes you don’t have time to cook, so fast food options aren't ideal. Making the necessary adjustments to change, one has to be disciplined despite the environment and obstacles. Let’s not forget about making time to exercise or even afford a personal trainer.

In conclusion, when someone is released from prison back to the community, one is met with the same challenges and obstacles that lead to their being incarcerated.  In order to change, sometimes one needs at least one support system, the same way one would benefit from a personal trainer. Hence, this is the whole purpose of Halfway Home documentary.

There are challenges returning back to the community and old wounds reopen even if one has housing to return to, resources, and financial stability. Reconnecting with friends and family, let alone making new friends can be an up hill battle.

Covid 19 and heading home

There were some brothers and sisters that were released from prison earlier based on their offenses due to Covid, and there are already definite challenges heading home period then you throw the pandemic into the mix.  

Coming out of prison is like being born again, coming back into the world/society with nothing in hopes that the family and friendships that were maintained, if that, will help support you on your journey. Brothers and Sisters are coming home to find that some of their loved ones are in dire straights. Families and friends wish they could do more for their loved one coming home but are not in a position to do so. 

If we can pull together spiritually and put our resources together, no matter how small, we can find creative ways to help support one another in this crisis. We must understand that our brothers and sisters coming home do want to contribute and do better then they have in the past. In the meantime, let’s do what we can to stay connected and supportive for the benefit of our community.

George Floyd’s Murder

The bottom line is that his death was the result of a murder at the hands of a police officers and fellow employee. The officer that had his knee on his neck should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The coroner report stated that Floyd tested positive for covid, and the toxicology screening indicated that he had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system. Due to these factors the officer that had his knee on his neck thinks he should not be held accountable for his death. But, I’m going to tell you why he should be and the basic reason is that they both worked at the same club for over a decade in the same capacity, security. In security at a club you’re going to have meetings from time to time, relieve each other for a break and because of that I know it was personal for why he had his knee on his neck for an extended period of time when it was clear that he was no longer resisting, as far as what the officer said in his defense when the video showed otherwise.

I am not aware of what their beef was but it is clear that there was one and the officer/fellow employee of George Floyd took that as an opportunity to use his uniform to murder him.
