Rubber Ring is out on AO3 and wherever else you can find it. Vic and Bianca, between seasons and during them. A Great American Road-Trip, A Bad Time.
TV Station now posted. Featuring: Vic at thirteen, Bianca and Vic at thirty-one and thirty, respectively. Additionally seasoned with Nana, growing up, and empty apartments. Salt to taste!
two times vic looked at bianca and one time bianca looked at vic
Very Important People 2x16 "Spencer"
Spencer saying "you can take it out on me" to host!Vic. Okay. Cool.
no, no, come closer, it's fine. yeah the show is about to end with lisa gilroy who created some of the worst host!vic lore implications casually. yeah no. it's cool. she looks like if the lorax got turned into a HBO original. yep. mhm. vic has also been steadily and visibly declining for the whole season. wait come back. come back. bianca also has a greater role than ever. which could mean nothing.
the ideas the crew must have about canonical host!vic are the funniest thing in the world. They're an awful boss. They fire people on the regular. They're allergic to skin. They have a relationship beyond words going on with their stepdaughter who is also your coworker. They frequently pray to altar of an award on set. Their ex-step-grandmother showed up and revealed that she once burnt their hair off. After a while it's pretty hard not to start feeling bad for them because what do you mean they haven't seen their husband in six months and their entire family doesn't keep in contact with them and they casually and continually humiliate themselves on national television for a chance at validation? Also they watched two people die on the show.
behold!! the vip relationship chart, as of season 2 episode 14. what a fucking mess <3
(dashed lines indicate connections of dubious canonicity/that are not confirmed onscreen; i've made an effort to be as objective as possible, but some of these are closer to headcanon than fact)
Deeply deeply interesting how insistent host!Vic is on control right up until they think someone might want them. Just instant surrender as soon as there's even a chance they could be needed. I'm sure there is a totally normal, completely innocent, explanation for this that doesn't look towards the absolutely fucking haunting implications of their childhood and current life!
Very Important People fic now out, featuring desperately wounded people doing desperately wounded things and poorly conducted affairs. alternative title: Vic Michealis and the No Good, Very Bad, Day
