hadn't done some proper barry portraits so
plus usual halbarry shenanigans - wishing that dc would actually keep reminders of characters trauma in their designs (ie, Jason's white hair, Hal's leg or white hair etc) so I wanna try keeping hals for my own stuff
They soundtracked this trailer to “Northern Attitude” and I am a mess. Note to self: cry-proof mascara at the screening.
He looks like such a pathetic loser I’m obsessed with him in this shot
Remarkably Bright Creatures dir. Olivia Newman | 2026
I love whenever anyone makes a little judgy comment that you can see hits on one of Cameron’s traumas, his response is to immediately make a sarcastic joke to cover up his true feelings.
Tova criticizes his work ethic by saying “Didn’t your mother ever teach you these things” and he just casually mentions how his mother abandoned him.
Avery makes a dig about his immaturity and how it looks like he sleeps in his car. Cameron is just like “Yeah. I did. It’s the car my mom OD’d in” with this caustic little smile.
Basically his go to coping method for those moments of hurt is “You hit my trigger and now I’m going to drop a trauma bomb and make it awkward for you so you don’t see my pain”

“Secrets are everywhere. Some humans are crammed full of them. How do they not explode? It seems to be a hallmark of the human species: abysmal communication skills.” ― Shelby Van Pelt, Remarkably Bright Creatures
There is a right way and a wrong way to do things. I'm aware. You've said that like 600 times. Didn't your mother ever teach you any of these things? No, she didn't stick around long enough to teach me anything.
