“I mean some people choose to function by drinking caffeine– everyone’s got their own thing,” she chuckled when Halliwell said she probably ran on sugar. “Apple pie Frappuccino?” Audrey’s eyes widened, “I didn’t even realize that was a thing. That sounds really good.”

“I mean, sometimes they are like... specials that aren’t on the menu. I like to do my research.” Halliwell admitted, he cheeks painting a light pink but she’d always enjoyed trying new things like that.

“If you don’t mind, could we skip around and end at the point?” Emma asked the student with a tilt of her head. She didn’t mean to rush the other but as her mind rallied of all the things she had to do that day, Emma couldn’t help the pressure radiating off her.

It wasn’t difficult to make Halliwell blush but that abrupt request from the teacher certainly had the desired effect and the rambling the girl had perhaps been doing came to a halt and she found herself at a loss as to how to continue. “Oh... I... Well it’s fine. It wasn’t important. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to keep you.” The girl finished, tugging her bag further up onto her shoulder. “I’ll let you get on with your work.”

“I’m not sure I would call it nice, but it wasn’t horrible,” Zac said back. “Uh, nice meeting you… what was your name?”

“Well that could be taken in entirely the wrong way but I mean... if that’s how you actually feel then okay.” Halliwell answered after a moment because maybe he really wasn’t keen on the interaction. “My name? It’s Hali.” The blonde offered up after a moment.

“I don’t know, I’m pretty prone to random bruises popping up on me, that I don’t even know where I get them from anymore. I just figure that it’s because I fell or something.”

“It sounds like we have that in common then.” Halliwell admitted with a little smile as she made sure there was nothing she had forgotten in her tumblr. “Well... it was nice to... bump into you, I guess?” Because she didn’t know how else to put their little encounter.

“I must admit I am pretty curious to see your work,” he nodded in response. “Photographing people when they don’t realize? Sounds like you might just be the university’s very own paparazzi,” Dante teased her. “They should recruit you for the yearbook or something.”

“Oh god no...” Halliwell gave a slightly aghast but also amused noise at the thought of being paparazzi. “I just mean... that there is something so beautiful and fluid about a persons movements when they don’t realise they are being watched. It’s natural, almost like a dance in some ways. Especially the specialists because they appear to be taught from a young age how to control their entire bodies. I suppose I admire that given my body seems to have a mind of its own most of the time.”

“I mean given the time of night, I’m pretty sure sleeping is what I’m supposed to be doing.” Benji commented, trying move from the fact that him being out at this time of night, with limited sight and a weapon was probably the best idea he had. But it sort of became a tradition and he liked to think his eyes had been enhancing to the darkness around him. “Sounds more suspicious then my activities, only because I’m not sure I totally believe that you’re out here to look at the sky.”

“Probably. Is something stopping you from being able to rest then?” The woman asked after a moment, wondering if he’d found himself unable to sleep because of thoughts. She understood that, though it wasn’t why she was out tonight at least. “You must be good with those to be able to do them at this time though. I think I’d probably slice... well my everything off if I attempted it. I’ll stick to photography. It’s far less dangerous.” She spoke with a little smile, patting the bag at her side.

“I’ve dwelled on it so much that I’m definitely sure,” Charlie shrugged. He knew he was very self-deprecating but didn’t ever see a way out of that mindset. “Oh, absolutely. I can sit and write you a whole list of the best places to visit. I might even be able to take me with you if you really want to visit some places, I’m sure my sister wouldn’t mind sitting back to let someone else see new things that we’ve seen a hundred times already.”

“Maybe we need to work on changing that then.” The girl commented with a small smile, though it changed to a look of surprise when he offered her the opportunity to visit places she hadn’t been before. “Oh! I appreciate the offer, more than you know actually but I couldn’t possibly let you both do that. It’s far too generous.”

“Oh! Those things are so sugary… but so delicious,” she had to admit to the other. “Oh are you sure? I don’t want to be out here stealing your drink,” Audrey insisted with a light wave of her hand. “You can just tell me what flavor you got, it’s totally fine.”

“They are. Honestly though, give me anything with sugar in and I’d probably be happy. I think I just about run on the stuff.” Halliwell confessed, laughing softly. “And if you’re certain. I actually went for the apple pie Frappuccino.”

“Well you’re definitely no villain given you didn’t laugh and you’re not ignorant because you didn’t walk right on by. So-… Kinda sounds like you have hero traits, I should know, I’ve read about plenty of them.” Max told the other, thanking her as she brought his board back over to him, checking it over to make sure he didn’t cause any damage to it. “You’re welcome, they’re some of my favorite stories to tell though. Kind of gory but interesting as hell.”

“Not this time maybe but if it’s a constant thing for you, that might change.” Halliwell answered with a little smile. “It sounds like you’ve read a lot of books.” The girl mused after a moment, brushing her hands off lightly on her pants. “And as accident prone as I tend to be, I can’t say any of my situations have had a gory outcome, usually just muddy or something similar.”

Zac held his hand out to help the other up. “I need to really start looking where I’m going more, I’m still working on that. Are you sure you’re alright?”

“I mean... I am bad enough on my own so it’d probably help me if you did.” She admitted as she brushed herself off, turning to make sure that she hadn’t dropped anything in the collision. “Oh yes... probably a little bruised but I had probably spent too long without one so it had to happen at some point.”

“Oh no, don’t get me wrong– I’m very excited for spring. But I will absolutely miss the hot chocolate weather. I mean come on, mini marshmallows!” Audrey mused to the other before taking another sip of her beverage. She set it down before speaking again, “What did you get? Hot chocolate as well or something else?”

“I think I have been looking forward to the warmer weather. I’ve actually gone for a Frappuccino; the sweeter the better.” She slipped the glass across the table. “You’re more than welcome to try it if you’d like.”

Zac usually kept his head down in the hallways, mostly because he was the worst when it came to hiding faces that he made as a reaction to other and what he saw. To avoid any confrontation due to that, looking at the floor was the plan. He rounded the corner, slamming right into the other around it. Before he looked up, he was already apologizing, bending over to pick up the books that had fallen on the ground. “O-oh my Gosh, I’m so sorry,” he said.

A squeak escaped Halliwell as her butt hit the ground with enough force to make her wince. Thankfully she had nothing much of value on her bar her phone but it was in her jacket pocket so had come out of the interaction unharmed. It took her a moment to assess the damage before she answered the male. “Usually I’m the one who does things like that...” The blonde stated as she finally gathered herself up. “But it’s fine. I’m in one piece.”

“Okay, you make a fair point-” Benji started, leaning on his bo staff as the only light that was illuminating him and the other who had all but bumped into him was the moon. “I asked you what you’re doing out here in the middle of the night and you’re turning the question back on me, though given I have this-” He commented, patting the staff, “I thought it would be obvious I was out here practicing, or did you think I was hunting off vampires or something?” He smirked. “Now- what are you doing out here?”

Halliwell had been a little shocked at there being anyone else around which was why she’d immediately tried to take the attention off herself. “Are you supposed to be practising at this time of the night?” She found herself asking regardless before giving a bit of a sigh and relenting. “I was just making the most of the clear sky.”

“I appreciate you coming to play the hero and making sure I’m okay, but I am- really.” Max commented from where he was currently sat on the ground, skateboard a few feet away from him from where he had came off it. “I’ve had a lot worse, got the scars and stories to prove it but I’m not sure you’ll want to hear them, apparently I can be pretty graphic when describing the oozing.”

“I wouldn’t say the hero...” Halliwell tried to explain when she was cut off by the others continued talking. She straightened herself out and moved to collect the board instead, bringing it back over to the boy. “And I appreciate the lack of description when it comes to your previous injuries.” She added, wrinkling her nose a little at the thought.

“Ah, no real reason,” Dante admitted with a light shrug of his shoulders. “I was just wondering. I guess there’s no reason why you wouldn’t be photographing them but I was just curious all the same. Does the university photograph well?”

“I mean, I suppose it depends on what you like but I think so. If you’re around sometime near the dorms, I’d be happy to let you have a look. I’m not a professional but maybe you could give me some constructive criticism. Photographing people when they don’t realise you are doing it is wonderful too, especially with all the abilities around here.”

“It’s my birthday, my twenty first at that, of course I’m going to up to something and this place was long overdue for a party.” Eren told the other, raising an eyebrow at the other, “You’re not staying? Why? Too cool for us or something?” He couldn’t help but ask, a smirk on his face as he did so. “You know you didn’t have to get me anything though, right? I mean, it’s greatly appreciated and all and I’m totally going to accept it. But you really didn’t have to.”

“You know why.” Hali answered with a wry, amused smile. She always felt a little uncomfortable in situations like this. It wasn’t really something that she felt she fitted into well and that just made her even more awkward than normal. Of course, she wished she was better at it sometimes but not enough for her to spend a whole night attempting to become one of the popular kids as it were. At the mention of the gift, the girl seemed to come back to herself and she gave a little shrug of her shoulders. “I’m aware. I wanted to. It’s nothing much really but we’re friends. You deserved something nice.”

“Oh, so do I,” Charlie said, raising his eyebrows. “I just have people around to fix my screw-ups.” A whole PR team, in fact. “They think I’m an exemplary student, the highest grades and powers as powerful as my grandmother’s. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.” He really needed to stop just blurting this out to anyone in his path, but he felt like he could trust this girl. “It’s probably beautiful if you’ve not lived there your whole life,” he sighed. “But one of the very rare perks of being a royal is that I’ve seen them all, and I can say there really are some beautiful ones. Caelio is my personal favourite.”

Halliwell couldn’t keep the softness that the others words created from her eyes. “Are you sure about that? Or might it just be how you see yourself?” Because sometimes self-worth was a lot more harmful than anything anyone else could say or do. “Perhaps I should take suggestions off you as to where to visit eventually.” Though in some ways it felt a little like a pipe dream to her; something she longed for but perhaps would never have the courage to actually do.
