Had he made Yellow feel uncomfortable by approaching her? The raven haired boy scratched his head as he looked nervously at the girl. He absolutely didn’t mean to do it; he would have to work really hard in order to make her feel better around him! As a man, and now as a husband, he had decided that would be one of his new goals.
His smile widened a little when he heard Yellow’s opinion about him. That was the first time he had heard such things coming from a woman’s mouth. Nobody else had told him something like that before, and what he felt was… special. It was happiness, indeed, but a kind of happiness he had never felt. It was warm, and very pleasing.
“So am I!” Kiyotaka said in response. “I must admit I didn’t know how my wife would be, but…” he made a short pause, thinking about the words he was going to use to talk about Yellow. He had to be careful with a woman. They were feminine and delicate, or so he had learnt. “Well… You are, uh, very nice to my eyes. I like that!” at the time he said that, the boy felt like he had taken a huge weight off. It was incredibly difficult for him to have what people called a normal conversation.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru was the kind of guy that couldn’t stop thinking as a student, instead of as a person. His life was severely restricted due to studying, studying and studying, and he accepted that lifestyle. Therefore, his spare time was employed in studies, the thing he considered helpful for his life and the future himself had to build. In addition, as the head of the disciplinary comittee he was always incredibly busy and never had the chance to socialize properly. For that reason he was glad he had been able to tell her something that didn’t include the word “study”. The conversation was still a little tense, but at least, it was flowing.
And if he could continue like that, even if it was difficult for him to act like that, then it would be fine.
Even so, he couldn't get used to that... marriage thing. Not only he was going to live with Yellow until he could leave Civilization 9 (seriously, was he ever going to leave?), but also had to love her. Well, he was at least supposed to do it. But the true question was... Was he ready to love and take care of someone for that time? And if he could never get out from there, then for the rest of his life?
There were two possibilities: He didn't know how to answer to that question, or he did, but didn't want to do it.
“K…Kiyotaka-san! About our marriage, I….”
The blonde girl's words caught him by surprise. What was she going to say? Kiyotaka forced a smile, failing miserably due to the sudden jitter he felt. He answered with a trembling "Y-Yes, tell me!". Maybe she wasn't prepared for marriage, and they were in the same situation. They were both young, and they weren't meant to marry until they were older, but they had been made to act as a married couple, from now on. But that didn't mean they were ready for it.
Yellow turned and headed into the bedroom, coming back after she had a straw hat between her hands. It seemed it was a treasured object for her, even if it was just a piece of clothing. Kiyotaka could perfectly understand that. What would he do if he hadn't his precious white uniform anymore? He would probably pout for weeks, or even months.
“I’m sorry if you’re not very happy with me as your wife…I know you’re probably scared about what’s going on, but I promise I’ll do my best to make you happy.”
"It's not that!" he answered even before realizing. Fine. He had yelled again. The boy should get used to the fact Yellow wasn't one of his classmates, but his wife. "This situation is... odd. It doesn't even make sense. But as your husband, I will... I will protect you, and take care of you!" Kiyotaka bowed his head a little. What did he just...? His cheeks went all red.
"..........." a long pause. "P... Please excuse me for my tone!"
He was so used to shout he did it almost automatically, but he had to change that. After that, Yellow asked him if he was hungry and, to be honest, he was. He hadn't eaten anything since he left the cubular room. He didn't even know what d
"Huh... Maybe a little. Maybe we could prepare something... together?"
