I think there was a time when Alastor sought his father’s love and affection, like any kid but he was rejected (and likely hurt/abused). I see Vinny as Alastor reborn, yearning for that same love, repeating the cycle.

(Venting my thoughts ahead)

After years of resentment and fighting, my dad and I were able to reconnect/forgive before he passed. It wasn’t easy. It took a LOT of work from both of us. So many difficult conversations.

I’ve come to accept and appreciate the little time we had together. We were able to laugh together again, hug each other tightly, exist together happily.

I want that for Vinny and Alastor. Except I’ll give them more time 💜
