Reversed Heartbreak (Philip x Reader)
Request: Â From anon: Um, hello?? Can I request angst John/Philip X Reader. Like, John cheated on Reader and they meet by accident in a karaoke bar and she sings to him "Jar of hearts". And then he realises that he still loves Reader. And if it wouldn't be a problem, it would be awesome if Reader was chubby. Thanks, ily!
A/N: Ahhh! A request! When I saw this I screamed just a little bit when I logged on. Yes! I am ready to do angst! Let me tear out mine and yours feels! *rubs hands together* Also chubby is something I can do! Shh I donât love chubs pffÂ
And sorry anon if this isnât how you wanted it (Btw Ily too)
This is a bit short because Iâm kind of... Lazy right now. Itâs still early in my mind
Sorry Melissaâs out there I used the first name to mind
Warnings: Angst and cheating (duh)
There she went, walking straight out of his life, right out the front door. She yelled, screamed, and cried in his face and he just stood there like a man taking it.
And he honestly wasnât sad...
Maybe empty from the almost cleared apartment but, not sad. No, he just walked on and started texting the woman who was what caused the whole scandal between him and his girlfriend.
He needs to remember that.
It hasnât been less then maybe a few months since his act with Melissa, and not much has changed of his life.
Most of his friends patted him on the back like a teenager for getting rid of the bossy, fat girl of the group. While the ones who left went to her side, scolding him for letting a great girl like [Y/N] go to waste.
But, he was proud of himself. He got Melissa in return, the woman of basically his dreams. Someone who made him excited to say âthatâs my girlfriendâ. Someone who he had to watch at parties to make sure no guy tried to get her to go home with him.
Not like how it was with his last girlfriend one bit.
A content sigh rolled off of Philipâs lips as he sat back in his chair, arm going around the shoulders of Melissa, her head going onto his shoulder.
He took a swig of his beer, looking up at the stage for who was to sing next, happily waiting for him and his girlfriend to sing their duet together, to each other.
âDonât drink too much, sweetie, donât need you to slur on stage.â Her voice was soft but commanding, swiping the drink from his hands to only have him give a nod and a kiss on the cheek.
A familiar voice rang through the bar as another person came up for their turn on the mic, Philip giving a displeasing groan as it wasnât his turn just yet.
âUhm, Iâm not... Much of a singer but Iâll... Iâll try.â
He instantly looked up at her when she spoke, catching her eye for a second before the music started to fade back in.
He didnât really pay much attention to her, no, he was too busy being one of the many guys ogling her. She wasnât fat, no, she looked just perfect! Not overweight, perfectly curvy, something someone would just want to cuddle.
But... Then she started to sing. Her voice was melodious, something he wished to hear every day. It held... Emotion to it.
As the song went on Philipâs heart clenched on, staring at her with guilt seeping into him. He finally felt the sadness of leaving her.
And Melissa caught on too, staring at him and giving him a noise of a growl. âAre you staring at her?â
âWhat? N-No!â He whispered defensively back at her.
They both knew it was a lie.
âI donât need this.â She hissed at him. âCall me when you want a pretty girl.â
Philip just rolled his eyes at the over reaction his girlfriend had over such silliness, looking back at [Y/n] as the song âJar of Heartsâ continued to fill his heart.
The guilty feeling continued to ache in his chest, wiping away the moist feeling in his eyes as all the unshed tears and all the sadness just came rushing onto him way too late.
He needed to tell [Y/n] he was sorry and try to get her back.
The song came to a close and Philip rushed to her, almost falling onto the table of friends.
â[Y - Y/N], I need to talk to you?â
âAbout?â She barely looked at him, looking right past him.
âI wanna... I wanna say Iâm sorry... I was a terrible boyfriend and -â
â[Y/n]! Iâm back with your drink!â A voice rang from behind Philip, giving the woman the drink she asked him to order.
âThanks,â She said as she planted a kiss on his lips.
This was why she was looking past him, looking for her boyfriend.
âWhat? Oh, nothing, itâs fine.â
He held his hand out to the man with his ex, smiling a fake smile. âPhilip, and you are?â
âGeorge, and you are?â
George held a smile that was also rather fake, Philip seeing right through it and he loved the annoyance.
âWell, I should go!â Philip quickly rushed out and went straight for his car, not caring if he was drunk or any DUIs he could get.
